The delivery truck left splattered oil all over our driveway - it looks terrible! We've reached out to the store owner to have this resolved. Someone was sent to power wash the driveway, which evidently didn't work. The owner said nothing else can be done (as their insurance won't cover the damages), so we're left with a completely stained driveway (driveway was done early 2021). Sorry but someone's liable for this, and its not us.

trying to buy canadian so i went here. about the most miserable bunch of employees i have ever seen. not pleasant to deal with at all, so i will shop elsewhere.

We had an issue with finding an o-ring to fit our power washer. We looked everywhere and no one carried the right size. We then spoke with Sandy at Home Hardware and she promptly disappeared into the back and emerged a few minutes later with the perfect fit. She dug through all the little bits and pieces they had, and found just what we needed. Great service, above and beyond.

Had a very frustrating experience with an employee here. I had been referred to this location from a representative at Jeld-wen. They were not knowledgeable about a product I wanted to get pricing on. I get that: you can't know everything, but to be frustrated and tell the customer that they need to have more information before you can do anything does not help the situation. You didn't even ask me what information I had to move forward. The employee made a phone call to a supplier ( I had printouts and flyers of stated product I was interested in ) basically to confirm they do sell it. They then wrote a phone number on a piece of paper and told me to call this number when I had my information ready. Having worked with the public in the past, if I didn't know something, I would ask so I could learn for the next time AND for the current customer. There was no reach out to a fellow employee or even letting me know when someone more knowledgeable would be in. These were custom doors. I had my dimensions, colours, and quantities ( 8 doors ) as well as printouts from the manufacturer's website that were specifically available from the manufacturers website to help with ordering - all dismissed, not even looked at. But, I do have that 1-800 number to call to get help from someone else and will use that to order from another location.

I was into J&K Home Building Centre yesterday looking for a galvanized reducing coupling for an outdoor tap. The girl at the front counter was very nice and the young man in the plumbing department was very helpful as well. Unfortunately the young man helping me find the tap attachment I needed was not that knowledgeable about this department so he asked the female service manager to assist us. She was talking to another employee and declined to come over. The young man continued to look with me for another 15 minutes and then when the service manager was alone, he went over to ask her for help again. Again she declined to help. This, by the way, was 1:45 pm and the store was empty. This young man and I continued to look for another 15 minutes. The service manager was still free but did not come over to assist us. I then went over to her and specifically asked her to help me. Only then did she come over and finally found the one tap attachment they had in the store. However, she said I could not have it because they would need it to reorder more. I suggested she take a picture of it and she still said I could not purchase this attachment. I was in the store for 40 minutes. I was the only person in the store and I have never encountered a lazier customer service person in my life as the woman they had on as service manager yesterday. I then went to my local home building centre in Paris. I asked the manager, Peter, for the part and not 2 minutes later I had the part, paid for it and was on my way. Peter and his staff are top notch. I will never go anywhere else again. If you are unfortunate to have J&K as your local building centre, do yourself a favour and make the drive to Paris. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.
