Great local hardware store with a variety of options for home and garden. A nice selection of tools but not a large option for each type of tool. Which is fine in my mind if you know what you want. Staff is not very helpful until you ask for something specific. Otherwise they will just say hello and leave you alone to browse on your own. Prices are fair but generally what you would expect.

Absolute waste of time coming into this store due to cheap nature of management staff. Was easily able to find a 60x36" frameless mirror online, however I can only purchase this in-store. I purchase the item at this location and 3 days later I receive a call stating they cannot order this item because their warehouse's minimum order quantity is 2 as they described it. So lady on the phone gave me 2 excellent options. I either have to buy 2, because they don't want to stock another mirror, or cancel and refund me at the store. Save your time and go to Home Depot or a big box store, this store is a mockery of how a business should be run.

Cool place despite the stodgy appearance. Surprisingly good for electronic kit lovers (Arduino) and many hard to find parts. Also surprisingly large selection of items. A lot bigger inside than you would think as has 2 floors.

In the basement of this home hardware are the remnants of Supremetronic, a venerable brick and mortar supplier for the electronics hobbyist that I have personally shopped at for 20 years (they were on queen st w before). Today I had the awful experience of finding next to NOTHING I was looking for in components and associated hardware, and pretty common stuff to. 1% 1/4 1k resistor? the drawer is empty. 1/2W? empty, 1W? empty. REALLY? the most common value and you can't keep it in stock?Next to no nylon standoffs and hardware, no dip sockets above 24 pin, PCB connectors missing and mixed together. I'm used to not find everything I need on a parts run, but this time, I found so little that I found no reason to buy anything. I politely told the lady at the cash they were out of stock on several things and to her credit she asked which and I told her about the resistors. My intention was to write them a list of what I found they were out of (a rather long one) along with some suggestions to become an actually useful store for electronics hobbyists, but unfortunately, I cannot find an email address for this store anywhere! If anyone from College Home Hardware reads this please contact me and I will be happy to assist. Yes I know I can buy everything I need online (and for cheaper) but I do wish to support hobbyist brick and mortars. I just can't when they have nothing of use.
