Extremely helpful staff. I placed an order for a barbecue online and after more than 24 hrs, didn't receive a confirmation that it was ready for pick up. I called and spoke to a gentleman in customer service who took my number and said he'd call me back with an update before he went home at 8:30 pm. Well, 8:30 came and went and I wasn't surprised that I never got a call... but imagine my surprise when he actually called me just past 8:40 to tell me that my order was tagged and ready for pick up. When I went to pick it up, two of the young men working there spent 20 minutes trying everything to fit it into my little car (they ended up having to take it out of the box and were very careful when loading it). I was so grateful for their help, and the fact that they did it with good humour and smiles on their faces. Thank you!

I don't know why I ever shop here. Every time I go in and need customer service the wait is extremely long. And there's only one cashier ever open. My most recent experience is that I purchased a conversation set at the end of April. The glass on the coffee table broke without anyone or anything being near it. I was walking towards my garage and behind me I heard a loud crashing sound...it was the table. I researched it and it seems this is happening all the time with these glass table tops, apparently part of the reason is due to a change in temperature. Even though the set comes with a 1 year warranty I'm being told there's likely nothing that can be done because its the glass that broke. The Stockyards location no longer has any in stock as its past the end of season, however the Grimsby location does, but apparently having that location send the table to the Stockyards location "is not how it works". Give me a break. It will likely end up just sitting there and not even sell. I think I've finally learned my lesson and will not be taking my business there anymore.

I don’t know how Rona stays in business based on customer service alone. The prices are also consistently higher than at Home Depot. More often than not, the price that rings up is different than the price listed on the shelf, and service is incredibly slow and often unhelpful. I am giving two stars because I did buy 2 plants that are doing very well, but overall I am very unhappy with how little Rona values its customers. Even when I called in with a complaint, Diane (the customer service manager) promised action, then just went silent and didn’t respond to follow up messages. I gave up. Home Depot it is!

Pretty good experience with this location today. Staff were polite and responsive. They have brands and items not stocked across the street at Home Depot. Frequently see unadvertised in-store specials as well. Bit a backup at customer service desk this afternoon and neither of the two items that I came for had prices on the shelf. Worth a look especially compared to Canadian Tire.

It sucks that I just want to give my money to a Canadian company but then you won't match Amazon prices. CT, HD and Best Buy all do this, as long as Amazon is the seller. How is it better to make no sale rather than a sale at a discount? I can't imagine compressors are flying off the shelves.
