Once every month or two I would go there and just spend some time looking around the store to kill some time on my lunch break. Sometimes I would buy something small, like a small tool on the sale. Every single time I was there, I was treated as thief, with an employee following me around and popping up between isles. The last time I was there, one of the employees approached me after 10 minutes and asked something along the line "Got everything? Are you ready for checkout?", and then started scanning my hands and pockets with his eyes. I was standing in the middle of the store, so obviously I didn't have attention to checkout. That made me very uncomfortable. Needless to say, that was my last time there, or in any other HH store. I've never experienced anything like that in any other hardware store, and I spent thousands od dollars at Home Depot, and been there hundreds of times.

Terrible customer experience. The men who were(n't) answering my questions were condescending and rude. I will not be going back to that store.

I just had the WORST service EVER!!! I will NEVER do business there again. I went in to purchase batteries ... even though the main number of the batteries was the same as the original one I brought ... the brand was different and the extra number on the side was different too - mine read "14" and the ones I bought read "1". I hesitated buying them not convinced that they were the right ones --- however was assured by the sales person that they were!!!! BUT THEY WEREN'T ... and so I went back within 2 hours to make an exchange for the right ones ONLY to be told that I could not return them or even exchange them because I opened the package (and so how would I know if they worked if I didn't remove them from the package) and proceeded to tell me that they are the right ones (and so why doesn't it work) ? He went even further insulting my intelligence when he said "They didn't work because you forgot to remove the tag" SERIOUSLY - I put the tag back on the battery to return them???? AND so I'm $14.00 out, stuck with batteries that have no use for me ... and when I cool down will need to go elsewhere to get the RIGHT batteries.
