AVOID! THIS COMPANY IS DISHONEST I placed an order for 3 interior doors at the end of May with the promise that they would arrive and be installed by the first week of July. First I was told that there was delays at border (with the clearance certificate), then I was told the installer had problems with his truck, then the installer rescheduled promising he wouldnâ€™t cancel again, then he cancelled again. I was then in an accident and became disabled, I had to move items around in my condo to make sure the installer had room to install the doors - as such it was very difficult for me to get around. I had told this to the company (Igor) and he promised that my doors would be installed so that I could become mobile again. The owner said he would find a new installer, this new installer cancelled on me on SIX OCCASIONS! It has now been months and I still donâ€™t have my doors and am tired of being taken advantage of. The company now claims that the doors that I had ordered hadnâ€™t in-fact arrived but were scheduled to arrive on July 31, and they would install them then. Such a frustrating experience! They collected my deposit and then made excuses for not delivering. Based on other google reviews (just google â€œwinmaxâ€ then click on â€œreviewsâ€) this company seems to be operating in this manner with a number of customers. I had to send several messages in order to get a refund, but I did eventually end up getting my money back. Avoid this company like the plague! This company also operates under the name Winmax - beware!

After having shopped around local manufacturers, wanting something more modern that most typical door styles I finally found The Door Boutique right across the road from my business, literally! I had seen them once before but thought I could likely find a better deal amongst contacts I had either directly or indirectly through my business. I was wrong. A twenty year business acquaintance, who had retired to his personal private millwork shop in his back yard quoted me 94,000.00 for flat slab style doors in red oak veneer with baseboard and trim thrown in. I was appalled. When I got my quote from the Door Boutique I was amazed that he could provide custom sized doors, made it Europe using amazing hardware and finishes at a much lower price! His installation crew did a stellar job assembling a modular system in architectural opeings with every piece fitting as it should, zero issues! Every tradesman that has since come in to the house has asked for their contact info. They've never seen better quality doors. These are all guys working in custom homes on a daily basis which should tell you everything you need to know. You'll waste far less time starting here than finishing here : )
