I have found over the years the Canadian Tire you go to when you want simple things like paint and I mean basic because there's been many times I go looking for a specific one and they always seem to be out, staff don't really seem to care and they seem to hire all the lazy staff at this location. Their "sport" section has become a joke as well, when I was a kid I remember that store being the go to and is now the one you go to when you need something quick, and the security follows you like a lost puppy and I've been going there for years and never would steal from them I get it's his job but way to make a customer feel uncomfortable. The Canadian Tire to go to is the one in the West End (Cataraqui)

The store owner is a fantastic example of someone who understands customer service at the highest level. Could not have been happier with his resolution to an issue with a purchase. Both of my kids got an insight into how an individual can make what might have been a negative experience into a very positive one. Kudos!

I have been a long time shopper at this location and have in the past been quite happy with my overall experiences at this store. However I find lately this location is going downhill. Their selection for most items is sparse. Many times I cannot find what I am looking for. Plus the staff is often unhelpful. And tonight my partner was screamed at by two young girls who were manning the check out area and was rudely told they needed to take her back pack. They then pointed out a security camera and told my partner she would be watched. As my partner walked away they talked about customers stealing among themselves within earshot of my partner. My partner was embarrassed and horrified by this overall treatment. It may be store policy with regards to leaving back packs, but the handling of this policy by these cashiers could have been done more diplomatically. I can say without any hesitation that Canadian Tire has just lost themselves a long time customer due to the unprofessional behaviour of these two cashiers.

The staff are always very nice and helpful at this store. The store is clean. The layout of the store is difficult. The aisles are very narrow.

Went in to get a few items, within seconds of me walking into the store an associate (who's name escapes me now) greeted me and asked if I needed help. I told him all the items I was looking for and he brought me around to get all of them. He was also really friendly and asked lots of good questions to make sure what I was looking for was what I needed and on his recommendations I changed what I was there to get. It all worked out perfectly. Will continue shopping here again and again.

Nothing more frustrating then receiving the wrong product from service staff and the return/exchange desk accuses "you" of making the mistake. Definitely not called for and apologized for "ruffling my feathers". One more foot in her mouth. Is this the new service standards at Canadian Tire? Doesn't encourage repeat business! You lost mine.
