The shop owners and staff are friendly and helpful. You often seem to go home with more than you intended, because of the great variety of items on offer. The kitchen ware and utensil section is amazing.

I have been shopping on and off at Downs Pro Hardware for several years when I was coming up as a seasonal visitor. I moved here one year ago this month and shop Downs all the time. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to set foot in the store. Jean and Mike, the owners are most knowledgeable and always go that extra mile to make your visit there not only productive but pleasant. The Staff are over and above. I always love going there for the conversations, the humour, and the way they make you feel at home. The vast stock they carry astounds me. I have never gone away not getting what I need and along with what I need, great advice on any problem I need help with.....You cannot beat their service and supply to the community......I absolutely love them all.

Handy spot if you're visiting and forgot pretty much anything - they have hardware, housewares, batteries, beach toys. Friendly staff.
