Surplus Home Hardware, some good prices. Nice to tour the place and remember whats laid out. The staff is nice.

We wanted to do all our business here because they are close to our home and we like to support local business. We had a particularly negative experience with the paint department and upon review found we don't get the kind of service we expect from a hardware partner. We go to a hardware store about once a week but not this one.

Continuing negative experience with the Paint Department guy. Very surly reaction to my poor French, he refused to help me find steel-wool .. not his department; or sandpaper .. not his department. However, I needed eight cans of paint, tinted cream. Obviously unhappy, he filled my order, leaving one can untinted. This was discovered half-way through the painting and taken care of with a trip to Dollarama for small bottles of acrylic art paint. I am almost seventy yrs old, English speaking from Ontario and believe politics should not be manifested on the job.
