First time I was in this store today. I got so excited about all the pets but learned very quickly that they are very uneducated about there pets. I saw a chinchilla who was very egressive and missing fur on its nose and the cage was full of plastic and a heat lamp. Chinchillas have very dense fur and a heat lamp will easily kill them. Plastic is very dangerous as the chinchilla will chew it and it will cause blockage in there belly and will kill them. I was also doing some shopping there and found a lava ledge for my chinchillas then a worker asked if I needed assistance and I told her no but I was excited cause I have been looking for a lava ledge for a while and finally found one. She didn’t have a clue what it was or what it was for and said I didn’t even know that we carried them and then walked away? I stress that the employees learn about there pets and proper care that comes with them I hope this reaches the right people so they can fix the issues of there chinchilla and I hope it finds a way to a loving home. Thank you

I always go here to get my dogs food, and of course to see the other animals. I went in to see about getting a supplement to help with my dogs joints as he is getting older and want to do everything I can to help him stay strong. I had no idea what I was looking for and the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about the products they have, they are very friendly and very courteous. I would recommend going here if you have questions about what products are right for you pet, as well as if you are not sure what food to give him the are very helpful in that regard too, I would say go there even if you don't have to get anything just go in to see the birds and bunnies and cats, etc..

Horrendous service and cat food is incredibly overpriced. A 7kg bag of cat food was $22 more than any local competitor. I asked if they price matched and they said yes. I showed an Amazon ad and they said not Amazon (fair enough). I then showed a Petsmart ad for the identical product (next best price) and they said yes. Once the product was scanned they changed their mind to no, and said it wasn't high enough above their store cost (huh?). They then said they cant compete with a US owned store (ok?). After some argument they did ring it through but it shouldn't have been this painful. I would have expected better service from the store manager. I won't be back.

Large selection of animal foods and helpful staff, especiall for us part timers and/or beginners.... I always go there when my son brings his dog to town for a visit, regardless of the membership

Purchased some guppies here for my daughters birthday. The staff have been extremely helpful in our education of caring for them. Even after two 'moved on' due to new tank syndrome, they were replaced quickly.
