This place is the best! I have been taking my pups here for over 9 years. Always happy to go there. Even have to convince my young boy to get in the car to come home! Never smell like "kennel" like they have coming home from other places. Love that it is family owned and ran. The owner has always been very pleasant to deal with. Never had a issue with this kennel! My boy is actually heading there in a few days!

My medium breed dog have been boarded @ Golden Acres for over 6 years. We travel quite a bit so it's a relief to know that my dog will be well looked after. The facility is safe, clean, and my dog loves the owner. My dog gets to play with other dogs she is compatible with in the fenced area. The owner is knowledgable about dog health & behaviour issues and that is a good thing. Boarding dogs can be a stressful time for both dog & owner but my dog is comfortable here. I have boarded my dogs at various kennels around the Edmonton area & feel Golden Acre is the right fit for our dogs.

Dogs seem to just be left alone and the customer service was a joke. Owner was rude and seemed to hate her job and the kennels were the furthest thing from a "Pet Resort".

Brutal customer service. Requested a later drop off since, like most people, have work and volunteer commitments. Below is the response I got (keep in mind this is the night before a long weekend; I had suggested paying an additional nights fee for the "inconvenience"). The "last time" (below) was in reference to request an "early" pick up (like 8:30 AM), in which case I paid an extra nights fee, on top of a bill of $250....service is rude, un-professional at best, and not at all flexible. "What part of NO EXCEPTIONS do you not understand? Please find another kennel who can accommodate you. It was the same thing last time and it's not worth it. Sorry

ZERO STARS!!!!! Had to give one or I couldn't post this. Rude, rude, rude lady! We set up an appointment to see this Pet Resort, as we were looking for a place to house our dog for 2 weeks while we were away, our usual Pet Resort happened to be closed at the time we are travelling. After driving quite a ways to find the resort, we pulled into the owners yard and up to the kennel area. We got out of our truck and no-one was around, not knowing what to do as there is no signage posted, we just stood there hoping someone would come out of the house or the kennel area. After waiting for almost 5 minutes which was no big deal, they may just not of seen us pull into their property, a lady, which we assumed is the owner/operator, stuck her head out the patio door and yelled in such an ignorant way, "Don't go into my building". We said, sorry we're just waiting here, we called a few days ago and set up this appointment. The lady, again in an ignorant tone yelled, "I'll be out in a few minutes." Well that few minutes wait gave us the time to have a quick look around and see the amount of feces all over the place, I know dogs make a mess but we've been to Pet Resorts all over Canada and this was a little excessive to say the least!! We did not go into her building but from the outside it seemed very small and the dog runs were a mess, it didn't seem like the dogs had a lot of room to get around. So between the poor condition of the Resort and her attitude, we decided to take our business elsewhere!! We will definitely ensure we pass our opinion on to everyone we can, we looked at other reviews on other sites and saw that her being rude to customers is a recurring thing. We also visited 2 other Pet Resorts that day and they happen to hear the same thing. I would say a few lessons in manners and some work on her people skills wouldn't hurt!!! If you are that rude to people up front, how are you treating the animals behind closed doors???? Makes me nervous!!
