Black Collar Society

I've been taking my dog here at least once a week for the last three months. It's awesome! The staff are super nice and know how to deal with various dog behaviours. They do a great job grooming, and you can add treats on to their daycare stay! My dog loves it and gets so excited to come here.

Amazing experience for our Great Dane mix puppy! We have gone to multiple Great Dane breed meet-ups and most recently started Day Care. They are so accommodating, answer all my questions and really reassured me. Our pup was tired but so happy both times I picked her up! Location is great, dogs always seem happy and healthy when we are there. The staff also are really helpful with their boutique merchandise. This is a fabulous facility for dogs, and we are thrilled to have found it! We look forward to trying more of what they offer in the future. Thank you Black Collar Society!

I read some of the comments on here and am surprised by the negative comments. Yes you can hear dogs barking, what do you expect when you have multiple dogs together. As for allowing people in the back, as you can read by all the various comments, everyone has a different opinion. It just goes to show that no matter what you do, you cannot satisfy everyone. BCS is a fantastic facility and they have amazing staff that are very attentive to all the animals that go there. I love the fact that they send pictures and notes when you dogs stay overnight or even just during the day and on dog walks. It is nice to have people looking after our furry family members that love them as much as we do.

Black Collar Society offers a variety of pet services including walks, boarding and grooming. BUT the store has a great variety of high quality products and I love going there to check it all out! I hate seeing poor quality treats on the shelves of other stores knowing that most buyers do not know any better and are feeding their dogs this stuff. All of the food and treats at Black Collar Society are of top quality!!

This is the second time we have taken Ali to Black Collar Society. The communication and information provided about the fees, products and services are unclear. What is worse, is that the staff you have hired appear to be unclear as well. The total at the end of Ali's stay has been higher than the original quote both times and it is sad to watch the staff member blame the other staff for providing vague and unclear information. Picked up Ali this evening and found her to be stressed out and shaking with a bad limp. My wife was told by the owner that there was staff on hand at all times and when i asked for confirmation of that this evening, we were told that staff leave at 10pm and come back at 5am. What happens in that 7 hour span? I'm paying to have her stay on a concrete floor unsupervised is what it sounds like. On that note, when i do pay for Ali's stay, i am asked if i would like to tip on the total amount. So i am asked to give gratuity to staff who don't have a full understanding of the products and services you provide and who leave the dogs unattended overnight. If i am unable to see what goes on there either, do i ask how they went above and beyond there normal job description and duties to deserve a tip? Very bold. Lastly, i read your reply to another persons review about the waiver stating that there is no liability on you for injuries from the dogs rough housing etc which i understand and signed. Does the waiver mention leaving the dogs unattended at night? That waiver did not say that hosting a singles mixer with alcohol present as a side venture was something that we had to be okay with either. Due to the vague info and communication your staff provide with little confidence leaving us with not much confidence in you, why should i trust that the singles mixer didn't cause a bunch of noise stressing mine andeveryone elses dogs out. Did they have access to the entire area? Was Ali apart of a petting zoo? Ali is very nervous around strangers. I hope she was not. Take care
