BE-WARNED DO NOT SEE THIS LADY TO GET YOUR DOG GROOMED. Me and my husband were having a hard time trying to find a groomer in Calgary and were looking for another groomer. We saw an add and thought not badly priced might as we will give her a go. We explained to her we DID NOT want my little Maltese shaved. It took her about 4 and half hours for her to txt me and tell me it was going to be $15.00 more than she quoted. When we went to pick him up he was skinned and so scared my dog was traumatized!!!!!! I explained to her this is not what I asked for and there is no way i am paying! she said we could settle on 50 I told her there is no way im paying for this, She proceeded to throwing my dogs collar at my husband and told us to get out!! I AM NOT IMPRESSED!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!

Took our Border Collie in for a cut for the summer. She only has one way to cut, so if you don't want your dog looking like a poodle, then I suggest you go somewhere else. A shaved Border Collie with a poodle puff tail.... hilarious. At least it will grow back. Our Collie is 14yrs old and she had him there from noon to 7:30pm. I wont be back.

Shag-ri La Pet Grooming is under new ownership. We took our almost 1 year old dog there...we dropped him off at 2 and couldn't pick him up until 10pm! I asked for a trim and tidy and was told it would be no more than $70 she charged is $85 and he has no hair left. He looks hideous! In that whole 8 hrs he wasn't fed, not sure about water but his nails didn't get done or his ears. I am so unimpressed with this place and discusted. I took our dog to a place to get his nails done and there was Labradoodle there that had been cut the same as our dog, again, not impressed neither was their owner. Do not take your dogs here!!!!!!!

There are lots of dog groomers in Okotoks now to choose from so please do NOT take your dog here. Be careful because she operates under a couple of different names, but you are getting the same person. The grooming is incompetent to say the very least and the owner/groomer is not an honest person. The horror stories coming out of this business abound within the small community of Okotoks so beware. I believe you are putting your pets in harm's way as they are often left alone for hours with nothing resembling grooming going on, no water, no potty breaks and a less than capable person at the helm. The space is small and dirty and not at all a healthy environment. Please do your research before choosing a dog groomer and stay away from Angela at Shag-Ri-La!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. We took our 4 year old newfoundland and our 6 year old bichon- shih tzu. We were quoted $65 dollars for the small dog and 150 to 200 dollars for the large dog. These prices are typical. Two hours later she phoned and said there was nothing she could do with the newfoundland except shave him or she could continue brushing him which would cost us at least 400 dollars just for the newfie. We told Angie to stop and we would come get our dogs. When we got there she was just finishing shaving our little dog. She clearly never brushed our nexfoundland and did the worst shave job on our small dog including shaving off all of his WHISKERS???!! Worst experience ever with a groomer. We thought we would try this one out as it is close to our new neighbourhood but that was a terrible mistake. Please don't make the same mistake we did.
