I've brought my puppy here a handful of times for daycare. My puppy comes home happy and tired, so I can only assume that he has fun. I haven't had any real issues so far. What I don't like is that the front staff is not overly friendly. They barely look at you when you drop your dog off, they don't explain anything to you, they just take your dog and bring them to the back. The first time I dropped my pup off I had to ask if anything else was needed because the girl barely spoke to me. When I pick my dog up, it's the same thing. No rundown of how the day was, no update, just a handoff of the leash. If I ask how he did, I get "he was fine," or, "he likes to play" (don't all puppies?). I don't even know if he eats the food I bring with him. Their nonchalant attitude does make me a little uncomfortable. My pup is my fur-kid, and I would like to be reassured that he is well taken care of when he is there and not just put in a cage and ignored (which, to be fair, I assume he is not because he is always tired when he comes home). From what I read, and from my pups demeanour when I pick him up, I assume this is a nice place to take your dog, but their customer service needs a lot of work.

We bring our dog Angus to Chasin’ Tails regularly. We’re always welcomed with a smile. Aside from a mix up or two about our feeding times and a couple lost toys/leashes it’s been a fantastic experience. They give their staff higher training so they’re in the know with your four legged family members. Angus is always wagging his tail as soon as we enter the parking lot and gets really excited once we park so we know he’s having a great time too!

I don't normally write reviews, but as someone who is big on customer service and obviously my dog going to a great place, their front desk staff need to be more aware of what's going on around them. Because of this, I worry about what you don't see going on in the back. The owner, great guy. Seemed ok upon meeting him, but his staff were not aware of what I had been told throughout the day. I checked in, was told by a lady over the phone prior to visiting that I would NOT need to do another assessment because my dog had been there not too long ago. When I arrived I was told I did in fact need to do an assessment (not a problem) obviously this was needed, I respect that, but having your front desk staff look at me as if I was an idiot and there was no such spoken conversation about it.. was rude. I'm glad the owner stepped in to help. So I leave my dog for an assessment (free) and was told in fact, by the owner, to leave her as long as I could to help them with the assessment (3-5 hrs), and that "leaving her longer would be better" as told by him. So I left her for the assessment. I did return 4 hrs and 35 minutes later-- the front desk made me aware of that time, and told me I'd need to pay as assessments are ONLY supposed to be 3 hrs long. Well, of course I corrected her, but AGAIN, this made me look like an idiot and as if I was lying and demanding something. I have patience, and I'm really hoping this girl just had a bad day, or was new, but because there was no "I'm sorry about that.. our apologies for miscommuinications today", and was more or less given attitude. I was very unhappy leaving. All about customer service and being informed. My dog is my family member, leaving her in your care is huge, if your front staff can't be nice and friendly, sorry.

I came in today to pick up my dog, Maxx. Apparently he was put into a kennel, but no one knew why he was kennelled. I understand that dogs need to be separated sometimes (Maxx CAN get rambunctious), but no one could give me an answer as to why, when, and how long he was kennelled. Also, the supervisor didn't seem to know how to ring me through for the daycare and for the colouring books I purchased (or didn't want to do it and got someone else to). When going to retrieve my dog, no one remembered to grab his harness and leash that were left behind cash. It took quite a while to get my dog back after the paperwork was signed and payment processed. The two ladies were friendly, though, so that was nice. However, for $40/day I am a little upset with the lack of organization and professionalism that I see at another daycare centre that only charge $35/day. The company is completely unprofessional. On multiple accounts I have heard unprofessional comments, angry outbursts, and scolding of staff in the front foyer. Also, my dog came home sick and I'm worried that there may be kennel cough in the building.

I don’t typically write reviews but I felt compelled too after I picked up my little guy from his session yesterday at Chasin Tails. Today is Finn’s gotcha day, and it marks one year since we officially adopted him. Shortly after adopting Finn he became very anxious, fearful, and reactive to people, dogs, wind, rain, you name it, it scared him. The journey began, I did research, contacted trainers, tried many different behavior strategies and training techniques. Working full time I knew I needed to find something a little more intensive and that could provide more training than I could throughout the day. After searching for several months I came across the Chasin Tails ED.VANTAGE for Reactive Dogs program. Finn goes to the Chasin Tails centre for the entire day, to work on confidence building, reactivity to strangers and get the individual training he needs. This program has been a game changer for us. Lindsey and her training team got to know Finn, his triggers, his limits and have been able to work with him at his own pace. I get updates about his day, and get to celebrate his wins with people who are as excited about them as I am. Typically when I pick him up, he has to come out with Lindsay as that is who he is most comfortable with. On Tuesday Finn walked out confidently with a different trainer!!! I was so excited- this was definitely progress for him. I am looking forward to my first transfer session where the team will share their strategies and techniques so I can carry over their work at home!
