Adopted a pet from there, a well loved family member in his fur-ever home! Really disappointed by all the negative press on this organization recently however... Due diligence is needed to bring back some respectable community feedback in my opinion. More transparency less nepotism might be the first step.

Lady on the phone told me that my perfectly healthy (all shots and fixed male) with a bite history would be put down shortly after drop off, and was totally ignorant about the fact that I wanted help finding a better solution for the dog than death, guys read your reviews and make some changes this is so sad.

I adopted both my cats from this location. Very happy with my furry roommates.

My family and I tried to adopt a dog in May for our farm. The volunteers/ staff seemed excited for us to adopt this Dog (Blue) as he had been there for a while. It all seemed to check out and they were very excited for us to take this dog to our loving home. An hour later we received a call from the SPCA saying that they don't think that Blue would be not be suitable for our farm as they thought that he would run away and be cold. However my father brought up the point that this dog did not want to be in cages and only special volunteers could handle this perfectly behaved dog (Blue). They had no regard for this comment and continued to make up excuses as to why they did not want us to have this dog (Blue) we finally gave up and will not be going back. It seemed as the staff and volunteers were too attached to this dog and did not want him to leave, it is not their job to get attached to these animals it is there job to find them a home. A couple months after this incident (July) we looked back on the website and the dog (Blue) was still there. This place is not a good establishment and it seems like they don't want the animals to leave. I would recommend that someone would go to BAPS (Brooks) as they are much more friendly and actually want their animals to go to a home that deserves them. Will not be going back here ever!
