I bought a ball python less then a week ago from this store..It just died.. It was young and covered in mites and had 2 ticks on it. As a new snake owner and didnt know what to look for.. I trusted that what I was buying was healthy and clean. I have no other pets so it did NOT originate from me. Hopefully when I call, this will all be rectified by returning my money. It's sad it really it is. I will update my outcome.

I have worked here twice and am very grateful for my time spent at Critters. This review is more so for the owner. I got along very well with Ed Parent, and he took very good care of me staff wise. I look up to him as a business owner, he knows what he wants for his company and gets it done right. He has played a big roll in my life as being a very good boss. Some days in my life were harder then others and then sometimes I brought things to work and he knew right away. He is very understanding with his staff. I enjoyed working here and being part of a team. I learned alot of knowledge with animals and products. Sad to be leaving but appreciate everything Ed and staff have done for me. You guys all rock.

As someone who has been in the fish and reptile hobby for years the tanks were very poorly maintained. The baby bearded dragons had sand as a substrate. I asked why and they had no reason. They had no uvb bulbs for reptiles. Little to no selection of fish. I checked the filters and the top layer of the bio balls had spider webs on them. And the black pacu they had as a "display" was 3 feet long and had very little room to swim. Cramped in with a couple of plecos. I was there just to see while I was on vacation. And glad I live in Calgary.

Great shop with some pretty good prices. A decent fish department with some interesting variety of fish and great plants. Worth the stop. 👍😁

love the fish section buy all my fish and supplies there but was a little disturbed to see the big phraina was very hungery and has lost some weight, as well as the algae was taking over the tank and he seemed depressed something has changed in the last year
