Pets Wonderland Pet Shop

They always remember my saga and take wonderful care of him. Saga is never afraid when were coming here for grooming. Very very nice staff, good products and service

I bought a dog from this store years ago and I just found out that they move to the other side but still on the same mall. The new store is way better and open than the previous one. They no longer selling puppies instead doing doggy daycare and grooming. That day I saw a dog peeing on their chair and one of the stuff quickly clean up the mess without yelping to the dog or owner. Overall they are quite nice and dog friendly. The store did have some smell but I think all pet store have some kind of pet smell. If you are doggie lover, you just wouldn't mind =)

I'm surprised at all the negative comments because I myself have had nothing but excellent service from Pets Wonderland. I purchased my very first and only dog (an adorable pomchi) from them 5 years ago. It was a spur of the moment purchase and I had zero knowledge of caring and owning a pet. However, I found that the staff at the store (even though they did not speak fluent English) were very helpful and kind to me. They provided me with the proper documents, told me what shots I needed to get and when, and also taught me the importance of making sure my puppy did not become hypoglycemic (they sold me this tube of glucose stuff and instructed me to give a little bit to my puppy each night). It's been 5 years now since I purchased from them and my dog is doing well and going strong! Although at about 2 years of age, I had to pay for an expensive $2000 surgery for my poor dog's legs because she loved to jump and hop around so much, that her knee caps ended up displacing. Of course tho, after some research and speaking to the vet, I learnt that this was common in small chihuahuas so I did not put any blame on Pets Wonderland. I think that when you buy a puppy, there will always be that chance that your puppy may have some unknown health problem that will not become evident until later on. Isn't that the same when we give birth to children as well? I don't think that it's possible to predict which puppy is born with a congenital defect unless you are able to spot early signs and symptoms, which is not always the case. I still go back to Pets Wonderland every now and then even after I have moved out of Richmond because they only charge $5 to have your dog's nails trimmed. Each time that I go back, the staff still remembers my dog and her name. It's adorable! PS: they lock the door because when some costumers drop by (like myself), they let their dogs run loose around the store! Has nothing to do with being "shady" or rude :)

This review pertains to my latest experience. I brought my dog to this establishment for grooming. We specifically mentioned we don't want to hair too short. To our dismay, when we picked him up, his hair was shave tighter than a US marines haircut. A couple of days later we noticed our dog kept licking one spot on his body; upon close inspection we found his skin nicked. I will not bring my dog back to this place.

I'm really happy with the pets wonderland shop in Richmond. They offer professional pet grooming caring services at good price and they has lots of toys for my cute little one. I will not waste my time on other funky phony pet shops.
