There are some amazing people working here. My boyfriend and I went in to look for a kitten. Just looking- we said. There were some beautiful kittens, some older cats, puppies etc. As we were about to leave (we decided to wait for a while), I saw this huge, shaved cat, with a cone on. He wasn’t moving very much, and I saw his list of medications taped to his room door; there were some pretty heavy sedatives. I inquired about him- he had a very sad story, almost froze to death, had abcesses from a fight, almost no teeth. He was also FIV positive. Most cats would get put down in this situation. But the staff at the Fort St John SPCA advocated for him, got him thousands of dollars worth of surgery, and so we ended up with the sweetest cat anyone has ever owned. When I’m home, I don’t go for 20 minutes without him jumping up on my chest and purring. There are some really dedicated people working there, please consider getting your pets from the Fort St John SPCA!!!

The staff were/are very caring and loving towards the animals in their care. The empathy towards strays brought in is heart-warming. Not having room for anymore strays brought noticeable sadness to these people who care greatly about the animals. I was here to pick up a friend's dog. Please keep doing a great job with the animals and stay strong.

Indoors is dirty and extremely smelly. Needs more care taken with the facility.
