Moved to the island on August 2015 from the prairies, and discovered RASTA through a variety of Vancouver Island Facebook Group Pages. During that time I noticed how this organization have garnered respect and support from the islands residents, via the professionalism and transparency of the RASTA organization. It was through this collective acceptance, that I decided to visit the Sanctuary to determine if it's where I would like to volunteer. I would have to say that I am beyond impressed on how it is laid out, and the heath and welfare of the animals is obviously positive. Lucie is a respectful, and highly knowledgeable figurehead, who genuinely cares for the animals. She is a voice that educates on animal welfare issues, and how we can help to change the current plight of attitudes regarding animal exploitation. I will continue to support this organization, for many years to come.

I visited RASTA Sanctuary two weeks ago and became a volunteer there within a few days. I jumped in right in because of the excellent care, respect and devotion the sanctuary, and its owner has for animals. A sanctuary is a rescue. They don't buy or breed animals there. They save animals' lives and give them a forever home. I am proud to be a new member of the RASTA volunteer team. 🐾

The tireless and in many ways painful work that's been done and is yet to come to keep this sanctuary running cannot be understated. There's nothing the gaurdian won't do to maintain the constant (and inspirational) level of integrity needed to do so. That can't possibly be questioned (in good conscience) by any reasonable person. Spend a few hours volunteering, see for yourself! And don't hate, DONATE 😎

RASTA Sanctuary is an amazing place and Lucie works tirelessly to take care of all the animals and more importantly she goes way beyond to educate and make people aware of what goes on behind the scene for animals. We don't always know about practices and horrific things that happen to kind gentle animals and she will always step up and do what most people won't. Speak loudly for animals because they can't. I love what you do Lucie and I am grateful to be able to volunteer every Saturday and be close to something so kind and worthwhile

RASTA animal sanctuary is doing some amazing things for animals that need forever homes. I have volunteered here and the experience is like nothing else. The animals are well cared for and happy. I love going to RASTA and plan to continue to support RASTA in any way that I can :)
