Today we took our poodle in for grooming at The Dogfather. We had a $40.00 coupon towards a grooming that we had bought in a silent auction fund raiser. Our dog was there three and a half hours! I guessed they must be doing an awesome job in hope of my becoming a regular client. My dog WAS a mess....lots of mats...but many different groomers have taken him in looking just like that and managed to give him a cut that makes him look great! He looks awful. They clipped and shaved him down to close to the skin. But there is still clumps and shaggy bits left behind on his body and feet that I will need to cut off myself. It is a utilitarian cut with no aesthetic sense of how a dog might look pleasing to the eye. Nor did I get the sense that the groomer was proud of his effort... I'd hoped to love the cut so much that I'd pay the balance of the bill and a generous tip in appreciation of the contribution of the gift certificate to a worthy cause. But to my surprise I was told I owed nothing. Maybe that's why the job was so slip shod.

Booked an appointment for mobile dog grooming. I had taken the morning off work and he never showed up, or called to reschedule. I will be going somewhere else.

The groomer did an awesome cut on our precious little Mal-T- Poo! I would strongly recommend TheDogFather to anyone looking for a complete one stop grooming shop located here in East Chilliwack. Exceptionally reasonable and impressive results from groomer - Paige. Thank you so much!
