Darcy is by far, the best! Before meeting her, I walked into other groomers, and walked right out...just got that no feeling, and seems my very nervous Yorkie did as well. I have been taking my dog (and grand dog) to Darcy for two years now, and I wouldn’t take them anywhere else! With Darcy, it’s reassuring to know, that your animal is always well taken are of, and you won’t be disappointed when you pick up your fur baby...she does an amazing job every time! Thanks for the great care and cuts again today Darcy💕

Great dog groomer! The only place I take my shy dog and my hyper dog. Does a great job and I know they are in good hands.

All I can say is wow. This groomer boasts about her 23 years of experience.... But I can't believe what my brothers dog came home looking like. She had the audacity to blame my brother for lack of brushing for the lousy hair cut.... And talk about not being able to finish on time... She sent the dog home without a bath and nail clippings... Looks like she just took a shaver and just shaved all his hair off without any precision. There are patches of hair everywhere that are uneven and jagged. Holy cow is this place a disaster. Stay away or just take a shaver at home and do it yourself..

Photos speak many words..... Usual average visit to the groomers Average grooming times: 1-2 hours Frequency of brushing dog's hair before grooming: rarely Average duration between grooming: 3-6 months Previous groomers which provided our dog with a desired finish 1. Doggy Doos (Richmond) 2. South Paws (Ladner) Unfortunately both were booked and he needed to be groomed so U turned to this establishment. Things mentioned by Groomer: Stated how difficult it was to groom the dog as he doesn't get frequently brushed, and is the first time I've ever received this comment. Dog was never bathed after the grooming service (perhaps not provided here?). I also felt a sense of rush and urgency from the groomer as if they needed to be somewhere (time was 4:45ish PM PST). Due to this rushed sense of feeling, it was the first time I've been asked by the service provider to hold the dog up for the groomer to cut his nails. The photo posted with the three dogs looking up at a treat is within 1 hour after his groom at this establishment. The next three photos are within 4 hours of a previous groom from other service providers mentioned above. With 23 years of experience, I would expect the groomer being able to inspect a dog to point out that the service would be tougher/ longer to provide and perhaps even cost extra. Although this dialog did not happen, I would have been completely fine being turned away if the groomer was not being so ambitious and did not believe they could provide the service within their personal time schedule. *note* previous review done by "Ryan W", was done by my brother, but I felt compelled that a post with pictures needed to be posted to fully describe the situation. I'm sure she isn't a terrible person as some describe in their reviews and I'll take ownership with taking the gamble of trying out a new place. Do take note that your mileage may vary taking your dog here.

Darcy gave me attitude, which unimpressed me. She called me around 1 to tell me my dogs were done. 15 minutes later she called me and left me a voice mail asking me where I was because she wanted to go home and the dogs needed to pee. Her business is open until 4, so I assumed I could pick them up later as I was out doing errands and she never asked me to actually come and get them. If my dogs have to pee...let them out for a pee, most groomers do that. But the thing that frustrated me the most was that, when I called and booked the appointment I asked her if she did anal glands, which she stated she did with every groom. I told her the dogs were scooching and badly needed their glands emptied. After their groom the dogs were still scooching so I took them to the vet to get the tech to express their glands as I felt she didn't do them. The vet tech told me that their glands were so full they were almost ruptured. Now the dogs hair was cut pretty well but lying about doing anal glands and giving me attitude doesn't make it worth it. *To Darcy's Reply*, I worked at a vet clinic and vet hospital, analysts glands to erupt and burst due to being overloaded. It requires surgery. I've seen the surgery done. In fact, my friends in Ladner had the same problem with you, their dogs anal glands were never done properly by you and erupted. They paid hefty fees in surgery for their dog. They never went back to you and never had a problem with their dog again. I have also owned dogs my entire life, never have I ever been called to take my dog for a pee, I've ever been notified if the groomer took then for a pee/poo whole there. But ultimately, your attitude lost my business, even my father said he always got attitude from you and wasn't fussed with staying with you.
