I had never been here before up until tell yesterday I managed to go look at the cats they had available it did take quite a bit of time but that is understandable because of all the people it is one of the best places by far to adopt an animal I was able to take my animal that I matched with after a small visit with the animal home. I arrived at 5 minutes to 5 p.m. and I left at about 7:30 p.m. adoptions start at noon and it is best to fill out the paperwork before going to the counter and that way you can select the three animals you would like to see that day and possibly take one home I give this place five stars for their friendliness and for their fast approval just remember to bring in your lease or have your landlord's phone number ready awesome job thank you Nebraska Humane Society.

We had a scare with our small dog. He snuck out of the house behind my 13 year old son. I went to walk through the kennels of the lost and found. They were clean and the staff was very compassion and understanding. My "guide" even spoke baby talk to some of the dogs as we went through...he very clearly loves his job and animals!

New to the area and went to check Nebraska Humane Society out. The building was well maintained and the animals were cared for (we heard from our local vet they do a great job caring for the animals with immunizations that typically aren't given at shelters). It was really cute to see the hand made signs kids had made to encourage adoptions! We hope to be able to adopt from you in the future!

Brutus died scared and alone! You wouldn't let me stay with him until the end then you threw him on a pile of strays and torched it! I told you I was going to take his ashes home! You KNEW us!!! 9/6/18 update: This angel with a tail deserved better. I STILL have nightmares and his brother shakes uncontrollably if we even pass by in a car. He was more than a pet, he was a part of my heart. I can't feel him, he's lost and he died thinking he wasn't loved. I NEEDED to bring his ashes home so he could find us. He's lost and he may never be at rest.

My cat got out of my apartment and they were called to pick him up. When I went down to get him they were super friendly and helpful. I'm so glad that they were called to pick him up. Cause I had the peace of mind that he was In a safe place, being well taken care of.
