Personable, privately owned store focused on dog and cat health. Great care is taken in helping you select the right products to suit your pet. Staff trained independently in nutrition & training. Pets welcome to shop too!

Although we didn't buy there, she was kind enough to go over the supplements we needed for our dog with a brain tumor. We arrived 10 min before close...oops...and they stayed late to talk us through things. She was then kind enough to refer us to another store they deal with to purchase our products. We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend them to everyone

The Barking Lot is weird in the sense that it reminds me of a small local organic store. You didn't know you were missing that wholesomeness until you actually got there. I don't get pushed on product; I get sold a variety of quality choices and I make the purchase based on my wants and needs for my dog. They're the only pet store that hasn't pushed me on a product. Actually caring about my dog and not selling me just anything to make a sale. My dog is old, and that level of quality is important. The last thing I want is poor quality at this stage of her life or a diet that kills her. They carry tons of stuff you can't get anywhere else. They also carry sample sizes of stuff, which for me is really important because I usually get stuck with stuff they don't like or can't use. They even give free stuff to try (How quality is that?) They want customers but they love dogs.

Heather and her staff have just what our dog and cats want from their meals to treats. They are very happy pets and we love their luxurious coats.

The staff are so knowledgeable! Albe to ask a wide range of questions about animals and someone will know and or help you in anyway possible! Very impressed. Thank you!!
