There’s not enough words to possibly describe how beautiful the lodge is. Walking in through the doors after a two and half hour drive was absolutely breathtaking. The decor is well laid-out and makes you feel like you’re basically stepping into someone else’s home. It was spotless on arrival and was very well-kept. Sadly there was no Wifi for the winter season but that was the only minor affliction and doesn’t retract from the experience. I’d recommend this lodge 100% to anyone looking for a little retreat out of town to disconnect from the busy life and just relax. I’ll definitely be returning here in the summer time.

A wonderful and more than perfect retreat. I stayed there for one week and it was absolutely gorgeous!!! Everything was in best condition, very clean and I didn´t miss anything. Wifi was very fast and never down. Cell phone reception is also very good (Bell). The area is very quiet and safe even Glovertown is kind of a one horse town. No restaurants or nightlife. But there´s still a good grocery store which carries everything you need, 2 gas stations, a liquor store, great park (Ken Diamond Memorial Park) with hiking trails, lots of geocaches and a little marina. I enjoyed the little beach just in front of the house very much, its wonderful sunsets including the possibility for a campfire. I have to point out one thing: there was a lot of wind but you couldn´t notice anything of the wind inside the house! Insulation was also very good. Glovertown is a perfect place for daytrips to Gander, Barbour Heritage Living Village, watching icebergs in Twillingate and of course the Terra Nova National Park. The famous Malady Head Trail is just 15 minutes away. If you like lobster don´t miss the little fish shop in Traytown. They have great lobster for 8 $ per lb. Yummy! The owners are very helpful and nice!
