Recently we spent two nights at this quaint B&B in Twillingate. We only travel with our dogs and sometimes it is hard to find places to stay that accept dogs. Cindy and Heiko not only accept dogs - they love them! Koal and Tucker are missing you already. Your insurance that we were comfortable was much appreciated and the breakfast and your compnay was enjoyed by all four of us!

We had a wonderful stay with Heiko and Cindy! We had stayed one night in Twillingate at a different BNB and decided we wanted to stay another night, however, the BNB we were at had no vacancies. We called the Rum Runner that morning and spoke with Heiko who told us they could help us out! The house is 105 years old and, while undergoing a few renovations throughout while we were there, is just beautiful! Lots of little trinkets around the house to browse over as well as local art work on the walls. We stayed in bedroom #3 with a queen bed, shower, TV and cable, and an ocean view out our window. There was some construction going on in the next lot over but really, we were gone from the room most of the day so it did not bother us at all. Heiko gave great recommendations for food to try as well as some information we may not have otherwise known about the trails at the Cow Head lighthouse. We were served a delicious, made to order breakfast (cooked by Heiko himself!) even though breakfast is 7-10 AM and I believe we sauntered downstairs around 5 after 10. Cindy is an absolute sweetheart and very informative about some of the history of Twillingate and Newfoundland in general. She had homemade jams (rhubarb and berry) made from rhubarb from her garden and local picked berries, as well as rye bread baked by one of her friends. We had a nice chat about their schooner and sailing past (we need to go back once it's shipped in!) while we finished up our coffees. They are such a charming, welcoming, down to earth couple and we would be pleased to stay with them again the next time we find ourselves in Twillingate!
