Super friendly and helpful staff! My wife got her rabbit from here a long time ago and we recently adopted a cat as well. They take really good care of the animals and always make sure they are going to good homes that can take care of them; especially the ones with special needs. I always recommend this place to family and friends instead of getting from Kijiji or other sources.

The staff were so kind to me when I came to claim a bunny. I got to spend over an hour getting to know my new furry friend and talking to the advisor about how to take proper care of him. The staff seem to really care about the animals. I wasn't able to adopt the day of, as they are worried about people returning the animals if they don't think through the decision, but I was able to get it the next day. Overall a great experience.

As in the several reviews I read about this facility they say Excellent customer service. May be they "DO NOT KNOW THE TRUTH" However PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY WILD ANIMAL TO THESE PLACES! with a hope of rescuing them. I found a baby bird on a parking lot without even eyes open. No signs of its mom or even a tree nearby. I took him home and hand feed him for 2 days. It opened eyes and feathers started to grow. it was looking at food and started to pick food from my fingers. So for the betterment of his life I took him to this "shelter" they took him and the lady said to me that they don't have facilities to race these animals and probably they have to Euthanize the bird. I said then hand him over back, I will feed him and let him go when it start to fly. "THEY SAID THEY HAVE ALREADY KILLED HIM" ALL this took less than 5 minutes. I don't think anymore explanations required about this Animal Killer facility their name is " ___ Animal Shelter" SO PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BE A PARTY TO TAKE SOME ONES LIFE" THIS IS NOT A SELTER, IT IS A EUTHANIZATION CENTER FOR WILD LIFE

I would just like to say how great the Brampton Animal Services are. I called them about some ducklings that had fallen into a storm sewer. They called Brampton Animal Control for me and in less than half an hour a person showed up and she rescued all 10 of the ducklings out of the catch basin. Many thanks to both services .

I came to this shelter intending to adopt an adult cat and today they turned me away because they recommend I have $2000 in a savings account in case the animal needs surgery or emergency vet visits. Also I should have pet insurance although the staff interviewing me did not have pet insurance. The staff made me feel inferior and uncomfortable when interviewing me. I also feel these people are lying about the animals up for adoption because all the adult cats were 2 years old? The BAS is overcomplecating the rescue/adopting process. Left here depressed and discouraged. Ps. Eventually they proceeded to allow me to adopt my lovely cat Lily, only after I lodged a formal complaint with my local district ward and the mayor's office downtown brampton. Thanks to the office of Jeff Bowman and BAS Employee Frank. Lily has a home!
