Please note the words below do not suggest don’t adopt from here - these animals need help getting out of this place - just know that the organization is troubled... Our family had local cats rescued that were living on the streets and they were taken to this shelter. The eldest of them we wanted to adopt and when we called in about her stays were told she had given birth upon arriving. Fast forward I have made over 50 calls and was not ever able to get ahold of anyone after the initial calls where I was told we could put our name down to adopt the female that gave birth. We were happy to wait for her kittens to be weaned and then we would adopt her. We were called and then left 3 messages and only after mentioning I would call their emergency number did they call. When Todd the man who manages the shelter called he was quite rude and actually laughed at my 50 calls and informed me that the cat had been adopted. My family and I had mistakenly named this cat and become quite attached to her and were waiting in anticipation of her arrival. He told me that we had been given the option to get her without her being spayed and then we wouldn’t have had to wait (as if to suggest we were trying to save money - she was pregnant!!). I cannot believe that this person could treat someone so rudely and that they would adopt out a cat that had people lined up. The people who adopted that cat could have adopted another cat and so now there is another homeless cat???!??? In every way imaginable this placed seems to be quite inefficiently run - when you have people ready to adopt and when you have a system where someone calls 50 times and must leave 3 messages???!? Those poor animals and the squandered money that could help them. Please be aware of what you are getting into and read these reviews seriously.

Wish I could give a better report but... Not long ago I stopped by to see if there might be a dog available. First thing I saw (outside) was piles of discarded/broken carriers and crates and gates. It looked like a landfill. Upon opening the front doors I was hit with a wall of cat urine smell. Absolutely sickening. There were a number of cats roaming around, one with badly weeping eyes, but no dogs. The one staff person didnt bother to say hello, smile, or get off her chair. What a shame.

Smells horrible inside. They could use to open a window and empty the litter boxes.
