Brought our 2 dogs there for the first (and last) time last weekend. Don't normally do this but felt I should do something more than just not going back.. The person we dealt with was very abrupt with us when we got there. She immediately took the collars off the dogs and shoved them into an indoor sand ring. We went through a bunch of normal stuff (papers etc). We were not allowed to see them again before leaving nor were we given the opportunity to see where they'd be staying. We were a little uncomfortable with this but on our way to an out of town wedding so not much choice at this point.. Returning 2 days later, we were informed that our bigger dog (lab boxer) was not given the chance to interact with other dogs because his hackles came up whenever she went near him. NEVER had this issue before #deathbylicking..When she let them into the office area from the sand ring, our big dog belly crawled into the office. When he saw us ,he wouldn't calm down. We were told to not put his collar on and just let him get used to the office..? I immediately got him out if there and he calmed down right away! Meanwhile our other dog wouldn't stop flapping her head. She said "ear infection right after we left". Right after she got into the truck, she stopped flapping. Looking at the ears, no sign of infection.. Our dogs have stayed in kennels many times without issue. We just moved so thought we'd try something closer.. Nope..

We have been going to the resort for almost 8 years now. We have never had anything but the best service. Best of all our dog actually enjoys going. We have been stuck at the airport on delayed flights countless times and never had an issue with the dog staying an extra day. Sorry to see they are closing but wish them all the best!

Morgan (our11 year old black lab) has been going to Country Pet Resort for her whole life. When she was younger she used to jump out of the car when we got there and when she came home she was exhausted from playing. As she got older she calmly greets Linda now but still is exhausted when she gets home. Linda is closing shop (for now) and I for one will miss her.

I have been using Country Pet Resort with my golden doodle Maggie for 11 years, and the best reference I can give is that Maggie runs right in to see Linda every time we come! Just prior to Maggie's most recent stay, she had injured her paw and received stitches the day before she was going to the kennel, Linda made sure to clean her paw and re-bandage her every few days to ensure it healed properly - it is great knowing that we have someone like Linda taking care of our dog! I have also recommended Country Pet Resort to friends who have all been impressed (see Unrau's reviews as well), keep up the good work!!
