We've gotten two cats and a Beagle through them. Our first cat just passed away after almost 18 years so we went back and got a kitten. Our vet says she is very healthy. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We are very happy

This is a great locally owned pet store the owners staff are very helpful and prices are reasonable for not being a big box chain. They are very knowledgeable and dont make you over spend on equipment. They also have live and frozen food in stock for all your reptiles and fury mammals.

This is what a pet shop should be, the people there take the time to understand what you and your family are looking for and then give you as much time as necessary to get to know the animals as well as make sure the animals get to know you. I came in looking for a small bird for my daughter that was looking for a sociable pet and ended up rehoming a Senegal parrot named Blossom after she spent hours choosing and fell in love. This would have never happened at a big box store, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks Will!

I grew up with mom'n'pop pet stores so I have a soft spot for them. This is not a big chain corporate shop, so it's not maintained like one. I find that endearing, really. I like the disorganization and feeling that you're kind of in a jungle of supplies. Personal preference! I like the people that work here, and how helpful they are in getting the supplies I want. That said, I hear others' complaints about the conditions of the animals they keep for sale, but to me, this is a non-starter. I fundamentally reject that pet stores should sell animals at all, so I don't even accept it from PetSmart or Global Pet Foods or whatever. To me, it's all horrible. Animals should never be in small cages being poked and prodded by strangers. It's jail for animals. Animals should come from small farms and small home breeders where they live freely, securely, and healthily, in my view. So for what I want from a pet store, this place is my favourite in Newmarket.

If you need a bunny sitter, this is the place to go. Their price is reasonable. I was pleased with how they looked after Kiwi , let her out of cage at least once a day.
