The best Pet Value in town. Very helpful staff and also very knowledgeable. Helped me find the exact right food for my kittens and also was great when they didn't like a specific treat and gave me my money back. Highly recommended!

Went in looking to adopt a kitten. Bonded with one and was told by the owner it was a male; the temperment was perfect and the fur length was what I was looking for. Filled out adoption paperwork and was accepted. When picking up the kitten I was told the "male" I applied to adopt was actually a female. I came to terms with this and still wanted to follow through with the adoption (I bonded with this kitten and chose it for a number or reasons) only to be told that the kitten I wanted was actually adopted by another family the same day. The owner could only say that she was "sorry" over the phone (as she was not currently working). The employees explained that they called the family and told them what happened however they were not willing to part with the kitten. The employees then suggested I speak with the family when they came in to pick up the kitten (which I should have never been expected to do as this whole mess was the owners fault). In the end I was told my only options were to speak with the other family or to take a kitten we had never even held. This situation should have never happened. If a store is going to have kittens within it, the employees and of people the OWNER should know how to CORRECTLY check the gender of the animal. Common sense to make sure people are adopting the animal they are interested in. By far the worst experience I have had when purchasing/adopting an animal.

I find the staff to be very helpful and friendly. They often go above and beyond in recommending products and giving helpful suggestions. One time I was unable to find a product I needed, but I found a similar one. I must have mentioned going to Starbucks (next door) because while I was waiting in line the staff member from PetValu came over with the product I had been searching for and offered to exchange it for the one I'd purchased. I ended up going back and buying it in addition to the item I'd already bought, but it was such a nice gesture, and one she didn't have to do. I'd already paid and left, but she wanted to help me out. The layout is also logical and well thought out, and I love that they have an area to bathe pets.

Pet Valu has a robust selection of dry and wet foods, toys, and grooming products. Every staff member I’ve encountered is friendly and deeply knowledgeable. Definitely a great store to frequent! Keep up the great work!
