As a trainer with about 3 years of experience, I just completed the 6-day, "Mastering the Art of Being Relevant to your Dog" seminar with Karen Laws. I had signed up for this course primarily to learn how to e-collar train a dog for off-leash reliability. Not only did I learn this skill (which was far more nuanced than I had anticipated), but I also learned a great deal more about leash handling, leadership and how to read and react to dogs I'm training. Karen's facility is exceptional for training and re-enforcing a number of different scenarios to "proof" your dogs (and your technique as a handler/trainer). The training and knowledge provided in this small intimate group was invaluable. Karen is an outstanding trainer with a wealth of experience and insight. I would highly recommend this program for novice or experienced trainers, or owners/handlers looking to learn more about how to interact with their dog.

Thanks Ontario dog trainer and Friends for not only training my dog Daisy but also for training me! I would highly advise that anyone looking to the perfect dog take Karen’s full dog training programs, it is one of the best investments I have made. She is a wealth of knowledge and provide support from start to finish, it is far beyond a 4 to 6 week training program. One of the questions that was asked on the forms was what would you like your dog to do? My answer was, to make everyone jealous...lol This was accomplished when Daisy was 3 months old in puppy school, Daisy will be returning for Teen camp this spring for more advanced training and I will have all the support I need between. Daisy will be a “Complete Retriever” and the best family dog you could have to be around my 4 awesome little ones. Far more than I ever expected when signing up!

We could not be happier with Karen's training! We sent our one year old dog, Koda, to Karen for a month of training. He came home completely off-leash trained. We can walk down the streets of Toronto and Koda will not leave our side. I highly recommend her services to anyone!!

The experience of 'Take the Lead - Boot Camp' for Shandy and I was incredible. Our walks have become a joy since our training, I'm not being pulled to the ground and I can actually relax, whereas I used to be anxious. I am learning that consistency is key to training Shandy. The customized booklet Karen for me is one of the greatest gifts. It reminds me what to do when Shandy does not do something I want. Because of Karen's talent for understanding dogs, the booklet also helps me to understand dog language. I had been told numerous times by qualified specialists that Shandy was untrainable, thanks to Ontario Dog Trainer and Karen Laws, specifically, we have proved them all wrong. Thank you Karen, I am making the necessary lifestyle changes so that Shandy and I can live life happily together with ME as PACK LEADER.
