Only store in town that carries the dog food that we buy. Had our dogs groomed there once and ended up at the vets the next day. Both dogs came home with fleas and a snout to tail rash from the soap not being washed out. Called the grooming department and she stated that was to make the dogs smell nicer. Thanks for the $300 vet bill. They couldn't pay me to bring my dogs back there.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Two employees in the fish department where too busy talking to each other and ignoring me and my mom. I noticed all the bettas were on a cart stacked on top of each other. Incase you don’t know if you see betta cups stacked you should inform someone that they’re getting no oxygen, and need to be IMMEDIATELY removed from on top of each other. I politely told the two staff that the bettas can’t be stacked like this, one left without a word. The other just said uh ok. Clearly didn’t care. I took a look at them too and some had lots of tail rot and overall looked very very depressed. The cups were FILLED with the fishes waste and old food sunk to the bottom. He left the area too. So I did what they were clearly not capable of doing, me and my mom unstacked them neatly. Then the one staff came up to us very rudely saying “can I help you?? Would you like to purchase them???” I got a little offended with his tone, and told him the holes at the top weren’t for decoration and that it is animal abuse. Almost every tank in the place had atleast one or more dead fish in it. A bird could barely walk or hold itself on his perch, his nails weren’t taken care of clearly and were curling under his feet, poor thing. The skinny pigs as well clearly had irritated skin. It was the most depressing thing I have ever saw. Me and my mother left the live pet section and went to grab what we needed. Something caught the corner of my eye, the employee was RE STACKING THE POOR BETTAS!!! I went over to him and asked what he was doing, he said “I’m just moving them!” I told him what he’s doing is cruel and abuse he kept nodding and saying “yeah ok” I asked for his name, it was Ben. I gave the cashier all the things I was going to purchase back, I didn’t want to give them business at all. I cried all day with huge guilt and felt so so so sorry for all of those pets. Later that day I wrote a complaint email to the store informing them of what happened. I got a response. The person who read my email was Ben. I was extremely uncomfortable about that.... but it was brought to the Manger, she called me and was polite, and told me he was being transferred? I didn’t think he should be working at any store for pets. And clearly from the reviews nothings changed. Petsmart used to be great. The one in Windsor even gives poor care now too. I went to petsmart all the time, now it went down hill and is way overpriced as well. If you need pet supplies I’d recommend The Critter Shop! I was so amazed of how well the man takes care of his pets and he definitely doesn’t over stock! The tanks are crystal clear and he’s the only one working, and him alone has been 100xs more helpful then petsmart ever has. And his store is affordable. Just keep in mind there’s a parrot that is quiet loud... lol So everyone knows that I know what I’m talking about when it comes to pet care here’s the list: -3 betta fish -3 African dwarfs -axolotl -2 society finches -2 Campbell dwarf hamsters -1 black bear syrain hamster And my cocker spaniels and cats. They’re all healthy and get the best care and attention they need

The store has a great selection. I can find all the brands I need for my pets. They price match any advertised flyer price. Food is always fresh because any food that is close to expiration date is reduced for quick sale. I can make sure that my pets are receiving only the best quality. I can find items not available at Walmart and less expensive than going to other premium pet stores

though the supplies they sell are great, the prices are high and all the fish are unhappy, there bettas are basicaly dying and ALL the goldfish had fungus, they also give false imformation and the staff are mostly teenagers who dont listen and ignore customers
