I will never come back here after happened to me. I loved a cat named Pepper, and I wanted to adopt her. I was told that other adoption applications fell through and I was the only applicant. I was told repeatedly that all that was needed was approval from All Paws Rescue and then I could adopt Pepper. I was left hanging for nearly a week before the employee who handled adoptions told me that a previous applicant was approved to adopt Pepper, even though I had been told many times there were no other applications. I called nearly every day about Pepper, and was lied to. The employees of the Pet Valu on the Queensway lied over and over again to me. Pepper is gone and I was left brokenhearrted. If you want to adopt a pet, don't come to this particular Pet Valu. They will lie about the pet's availability for adoption, and anyone who loves a pet from here will be left brokenhearted.

Nice place, except that there were about five employees at the cash and no one offered to help me haul a 40 lb bag of litter to the checkout until I was already there. Great ending to my visit because "coco" an adopted cat was soooooooo sweeet.

Called at 2:30 on a Saturday for a nail trimming. Was told no problem as groomer is in until 4. Arrived at 3:25 for trimming as was told by groomer that she had no time for the trimming—-a 2 minute trimming mind you. I tried to reason with her and she would not budge. I spoke to the 3 people at the cash—one of which was the guy who told me to come in before 4 pm. They said sorry...nothing we can do. Not very professional. Won’t be back, and will will tell others the same.

The people are very helpful with whatever you need. Great store and they have a Seniors Day once a month!
