I had booked an appointment a week ago for today. I arrived at my scheduled time and am told she can't groom my dog. I asked why she didn't call and she said she didn't have my number. I asked why hadn't she asked for it and she just shrugged. I found the attitude dismissive. After reading some of the other reviews I should consider myself fortunate but it was a big waste of my time and I needed the grooming for a special occasion. I will never book their again. Totally unreliable!!

We have been taking our two Schnauzers here for years. Love the place and people. Our Pups are older and A Dogs Best Friend takes great care with them and all their concerns due to their age. I Highly recommend to everyone. I have taken our pups in when they are matted and hair is too long.. They have had to be shaven because of US not because of the Salon. This is something that as a dog owner is our responsibility to take care of them. People should realize that you must treat your pets as you would yourself. A Dog's best friend does just that. They are the best... :)

I am the owner of a dogs best friend grooming salon i am writing in response to the negative reviews on this site as EVERY STORY HAS TWO SIDES. The nail trimming complaint: customer came in and had an elderly dog, they insisted on holding the dog while i trimmed its nails. With moving and pulling the foot two nails quiks were cut. I asked them to please go to Erin Mills animal hospital down the street and have the vet take care of the cuts, as the elderly dog was having trouble clotting the nails. I paid for the bill but they still chose to publish this and take it to the extreme. The refusal of service complaint: the sheltie was booked in as a seven year old dog, when they arrived the dog was 14 years old and had not been groomed in at least a year. I refused the groom due to the pets health, age and shape of coat. I did not call her because i was told the dog was 7 years old. Extensive undercoat removal on an elderly pet is stressful and i have the right to refuse grooming any dog that i feel has been neglected or that the groom would be too stressful for the pet. It is sad that customers feel the need to publish such complaints without the other side being told. These are very minor and i ask if you would like references please contact Southdown Animal Clinic Dr. Warren as they have known me for 15 years, or Collegeway Animal Clinic Dr.Hanna . We also have testimonials on our web site. Thank you.
