Let me start by saying that I believe my dog was well taken care of while at this kennel. I will say that the kennel is very clean and airy and the staff are courteous and respectful. Unfortunately, that is where the positive ends. Beware of the owner. Following your reply, I will then add that the pricing was explained to me when I went for a site visit and I was specifically told that there were no half days, only full days. Therefore, when I picked up my dog after after two full days, I was surprised to be charged 2.5 days. I was told that the pricing was correct. I advised the staff that if I had been told this, I would have picked up my dog in the morning as I was home. The only reason I left him for the day was because I had been told that I would be charged the whole day anyway. I did go see the website after I was told that the rates were very well explained and I still don't get it. I must admit that I had not visited the website prior to this encounter with the owner as I thought the staff had been very clear. Unfortunately, the owner does not believe me and was quite rude to me on the phone. It is true that she told me to pay the 2 days rate in the end but not before telling me that she worked very hard 7 days a week, rarely took time off, she was not young anymore and did not appreciate me disturbing her time with her family and then ending the oneway conversation by saying that I could pay the 2 day rate and I should never return to her kennel in the future. I admit, I did not know what to say. I even thought that maybe I had caught her on a bad day and later on in the evening, I sent her a message apologizing for disturbing her and explaining again that the rates had been explained well by her employee but apparently the info I had received was wrong. I did not get a reply or even a thanks. I was not rude with the owner at any time. I have not even met her, not at my visit of the kennel, not when I dropped off the dog and not when I picked up the dog. The owner is right in saying that it was very nice of them to agree to the 2 day rate rather than the 2.5 days. What I take exception with is the rudeness and disrespect on the phone along with telling me to never return to this kennel.

Our dogs love going to Priness Kennels! We take them at least a few weeks each year and they're always excited to go back! We love the fact we can see daily pictures of them running around and having fun. Other kennels charge you for 'extra' outdoor time where as Princess gives you way more outdoor time for a very affordable cost. Ellie and her team are awesome! Max and Cappie look forward to spending their Christmas with you guys again this year!

Have had wonderful experiences with Ellie Mae and her team. We have two dogs who get to sleep cuddled together like they do at home. She happily accommodates their special (raw food) diet and has even bought extra food for us once when we unexpectedly had to leave them at the kennel for longer than scheduled. We always get their nails cut/filed while they're there. Especially in the beginning, it's so nice that they take photos of the dogs and post them online for reassurance that your furry family member is having fun. Have recommended Princess Kennels to friends without reservation. Worth the drive from downtown Ottawa.

You won't find better care for your furry friends than Princess Kennels. Our dogs love going there which gives us great peace of mind when on vacation.No matter where you are, you can check photos that are posted daily and realize that your dogs are having as much fun on their vacation as you are having on yours! We love Ellie and her gang for their extra special care. We would not leave our dogs anywhere else.

We have been bringing Casey our Bernese mountain dog to Princess Kennels for close to five years. He loves it there and gets so excited when he sees his blankly, teddy bear and food at the front door. The Owner and staff go the extra mile to make sure your fur baby is in a safe, fun and comfortable environment. There are always two or three staff members monitoring play time outside. When we drop him off he is gone off to play before we even have a chance to say goodbye. It is nice to be able to go on the website when we are away to see how much fun Casey is having on his vacation. At Christmas this year our flight was delayed by one day, the kennel was full, his spot was taken, so they made him a bed in the office until we could come pick him up. Thanks for taking such good care of Casey and making it possible for so many clients to have a worry free vacation.
