Great resort-style place for families. Food is good and portions are huge, even kids meals. Good amount of water-related activities available for free, but not very much outside of that on site. And what limited things they do have is generally dated although generally functional. Staff is friendly though. So if you want to have the feel of the family going back to the old cottage, it certainly does that well. If you like water sports and/or you don't want to worry about buying food and cooking and want to get away from modern life, it could be for you. Definitely not the cheapest place though, since it is resort style, and it's not nearly as private and quiet as renting a private cottage, of which there are many options in the area. So it's good for what it is, but there may be better options in the area, depending on what you are looking for.

We stay yearly for a week in July at Cedar Grove. With 3 kids, having meals prepared and a wide range of activities is great! Waterskiing, tubing, and more boats than you can shake a paddle at. The cabins are also private and comfortable, with room to retreat with a good book or some cards if it rains. It's now a family tradition for us.

The best of the best. The cabins are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and hospitable. The menu is well prepared and the food delicious. I will definitely be back. Cedar Grove has been a long time Tradition for my Spouse and his Family and this was the first time I had the opportunity to go. It was perfect. Very pleased with everything.

A lovely family place with delicious homemade meals. An amazing getaway with such fun things to do yet relaxing and quiet. Our family goes there every summer, highly recommended!

Google needs 6+ stars for Cedar Grove Lodge. It’s our family’s happy place. We have been going every year since about 2004. It is like going up to the family cottage but better.
