After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical but I had checked out a few other places and wasn't satisfied with the facilities or staff. So I came to check out Muskoka Pet Lodge. I was pleasantly surprised. It's family run business, the owner clearly loves, and handles animals well. There were two other dogs at the time and they seemed very happy! Bear was very comfortable with the owner when he came out to check the place out. The house has an impressive size fenced in yard for the dogs, it was well maintained and clean. I can't understand how anyone could rate the customer service as poor she was very friendly, and patient as she answered all of my questions and concerns being a nervous pet parent leaving my Bear anywhere is very difficult. I'm very glad I decided to check this place out and will definitely be back the next time I have to leave town!

I brought Lux to pet lodge August /2016 for the weekend .The owner was very accomadating in taking him past business hours. I really liked the fact she sent me few videos him playing through out his stay. I would definitely bring him again.

Owned by very lovely people, your pet will be well loved and taken care of here! Lots of other pets to play with and a nice big yard to run around in I would totally leave my Pipsqueak here again!

Would not recommend. Our dog came back after three weeks emaciated, sick, and very lethargic. We were really concerned. His personality had completely changed, and almost a month later he is still not quite himself. They didn't have the decency to call and let us know he was sick, even though we called numerous times to check and see how he was. I have no idea what happened to him, as the owner was very curt and defensive when questioned. It might be fine for a short term stay, but my advice would be to avoid at all costs.
