We've been coming to Rice Lake for over 40 years and have stayed at various locations in that time. We moved to this resort when Elm Grove sold out and wished we would have done it sooner. The owners (Susan and Randy) are top notch. They care about all their guests and go out of their way to assure you are having a good vacation. The cabins are very clean and well maintained. The boats and equipment are the best on the lake. If you're looking for a relaxing stay with your family or a bunch of guys, this is the place! You won't be disappointed!

Amazing place to stay! All 4 of our kids had a great time! Thank you Susan and Randy for being such fantastic hosts. Our week long stay there was the highlight of our summer! We already booked a week next year!

Susan, Randy and Sunshine Cove offer top notch hospitality, accommodations and experience. During our stays we experienced nothing but politeness, respect, helpfulness and courtesy from them. Their pride in ownership is apparent each time we visit. A+++

We’ve been coming to Sunshine Cove for the past 6 years and love it here.  Cottages are very clean and cosy, rates are good, docks and boats are awesome and the people go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome.  We’ve been to numerous other places but have decided to make Sunshine Cove our “go to” for all that and so much more.  The fishing is great, too .. it’s probably the best location on the lake.  And if you need to go to town for something, it’s only a short ten minute drive to Peterborough and everything you might need. We were there when this dog and it’s people were.  I can tell you, the dog was the best of the bunch!!  I know for a fact that they never allow an aggressive breed -it’s on their website and in their paperwork, too- but they clearly went out of their way to allow these folks in with this dog ... which was a Rottweiler with a long tail!  All week long, the kids, which looked to be in range of maybe 6 – 16 were screaming and screeching ALL DAY LONG and then into the night, running around all the cottages with flashlights and still screaming!  Honestly, it was insane!  Then, they had radio going all day, every day .. non stop.  We know the owner spoke to them about both of these things because WE had spoke to THEM about it.  But, did they stop?  NO!!  Absolutely NO RESPECT for any of the other guests there that week.  There was a lady with a young man in a wheelchair in a cottage beside them .. she was so fed up with these people, that she left on Thursday .. couldn’t take their noise anymore.   We left Friday for two reasons .. torrential rain and those people.  I’ve read their reviews and they were the problem, folks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this resort! Such a beautiful place to come relax and enjoy! I can’t wait for our trip back next year!
