We have left our pet several times with this kennel and I have nothing to say but good reviews. She was looked after and was happy to stay with all the girls, we also take her to be groomed at this facility , they get exercise at this kennel as a well. Great people to look after dogs and I recommend this kennel and groomer 100 %. They will also give medication to your pet if needed.

The only place I would ever trust to take care of my dogs. I volunteer for a rescue place in Chatham , so you hear a lot of input as to which kennels are the most caring, clean and trustworthy. Abby’s wins hands down. Thank you Kevin and Sonya for your high standards and most of all for the love and compassion you consistently provide for our fur friends. 💜

I would not even think about leaving my dogs anywhere else. My dogs absolutely love it here. The Kennel is very clean and there is a great run area outside. They are also very accommodating with drop off/pick up times even when I seem to forget to book my pups vacation.

I boarded my Beagle at Abby's for 6 days after meeting one of the owners (owners appear to be a husband and wife team - the wife seemed nice). My dog gained some weight (not a big deal), but overall experience was good. I attempted to book another kennel a few weeks later for a 2 day trip. They accepted our reservation, and then later that day we booked our trip. I received a call the next day from the husband, stating that they would now not accept my Beagle, for fear she had kennel cough. My dog is vaccinated for kennel cough, however she has had vet diagnosed "reverse-sneezing" since she was a puppy which the owner was worried was Kennel cough. To be clear - my dog does not have Kennel cough and the sneezing behavior she occasionally has sounds nothing like a dog with Kennel cough, which I have personally experienced in the past with other dogs. The apparent lack of experience/understanding of Kennel cough here is worrysome by an owner of a dog kennel. That being said, I understand the risk they are taking with Kennel cough, so I was willing to incur more cost to be certain my dog is clear. I called to explain my situation and offer to have my Beagle checked/tested at the vet prior to bringing her. Couldn't even get the words out before this guys tells me my situation is "not his problem", then insults me with "why book a trip without insurance?" and hangs up on me. Just wow. As if having to cancel our trip is perfectly reasonable after we CONFIRMED OUR RESERVATION, but alas that's "not his problem". The trip is now booked and non-refundable, yet due to this owner's indecision I now do not have a kennel for my dog and am forced to scramble last minute to figure something else out. Why accept my reservation, and then next day cancel it?? Poor business practice - just be up front if you're worried so I can move on and make other arrangements before booking a trip. I was not being unreasonable, just expressing frustration as a paying customer, and was subsequently treated rudely and unprofessionally. I believe the correct approach here as a business owner is to demonstrate empathy and do what you can to make things right, you don't insult the customer. I suggest future customers avoid the headache here. Take your dog elsewhere, as you cannot count on these people. Also watch out for the owner's temper.
