My apologies to Nick & team as this is long overdue. We’ve been bringing our dog Peter to Grand Union for years because the service is always top notch, consistent and caring. I was especially appreciative when one time Peter’s appointment ran over and Nick personally brought him home to me.

Have my two dogs boarding here for more than 2 weeks and recommended their service 100%. Nick gave them plenty of walking and exercises and shared their status with me everyday. They care about our dogs very much and it’s really assuring to leave them with Nick.

We took our little cavapoochon Alfie for his first puppy groom. The groomers warned us that it would cost an extra £30 for the extra time due to knots, which I understood. We were told if we came back in 4 weeks and regularly brushed him we would be charged the usual £35. We made an extra effort to brush him as well as we could and came back in 4 weeks. Upon arrival we were told he had a few knots but would be ready for collection in approx an 1h/ 1.5h. There was no mention of any extra charge. Alfie was ready for collection after 1h and a half (last time he was there for 2 and a half hours). The groomer however tried to charge us double again! This time we questioned this because we had no warning or received any phone call to tell us that they needed to charge extra. This didn't make sense either because he was ready much quicker than last time. It is inevitable for a poodle mix puppy to have a few knots. The groomer agreed to £35 but asked us never to come back. He took our number to ensure that we'd be blacklisted. He behaved very unprofessionally, extremely defensively and rudely. It's a shame because had he warned us before we would've been much more understanding and now he has not only lost us as a customer, we won't be recommending them to any other dog owners out there either!
