There is a lot of variety of products from this store. We were initially pleased with getting our Boxer the Raw Chicken and Beef dinner, but to me the food smelled horrible. It smelled like decomposing flesh. It was like goo. I was suspect of it. After a month our dog got very sick and was vomiting for a couple days with horrible diarrhea. This was on the second batch we bought. We threw the food out and put him back on a regular cooked diet. Now we get our raw food from a different source and the smell and quality is a lot different. Looks like normal meat minced with organs. Smells like actual beef. Consistency is a lot different too. He loves it and has been on it for months with no issues. I write this review because our friend just got a dog who was put on a raw diet and was getting the same raw meat we give out dog. He did very good on it. She decided to add more variety and went to get some raw meat from Ryan's Raw. The first day she did, the same thing happened with her dog, except her dog is about 5 lbs. He ended up in Emergency on IV, costing her a lot of money and worry. This was after being warned with our experience. Now, I do not know if this is coincidence, but I am suspect of how long this food stays in the freezer, where it comes from and if it was fresh in the first place. We get our meat fresh from a butcher. I would like if there was some sort of testing done on this raw food as we had two cases of dogs getting sick on it and our experience of seeing and smelling this food versus fresh food. Store is great, but if the food is not fresh, then this practice is not right.

Best place in the city for raw dog food. Worth the trip everytime! Been coming here for over two years. Good customer service and great deals.

Absolutely could not recommend this place more, staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the products they sell are very high quality (my dogs love them!) Really refreshing and nice to see a pet store that actually cares about its clientel (and their pets) over their profits

I've been to quite a few raw food places and the service has been incredible. I love the entire staff and am grateful for the poor(est) service on North Queen that made me seek out and discover a superior place to invest.

So far their house brand food is the ONLY raw food my dog refuses to eat, and I don't blame her, it STINKS! The man at the store warned me that it would, and that the smell is from the tripe... but that is NOT what this smell is! We have used multiple brands of tripe, as well as foods containing tripe, and they smelled pretty gross but not like this at all. Both my dog and I were thoroughly grossed out, and 2 weeks worth of food in the garbage. Their house brand was what brought me into the store as I can get the same external brands they also sell somewhere closer to home. So pretty disappointed, but the 2 stars are specifically for the gentleman working in the store as he was very friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions. They also have a pretty wide selection of treats and extras, so still worth a visit if you're in the area.
