This is this best decision I have made regarding our dog Otis. Dave & his team have taught us so much. Because of them, we can go on pleasant walks without Otis pulling & he listens to commands without hesitation. (Novice training program) He can run free & come back once I call him. (Reality recall class) I feel confident & so does Otis. What a great feeling. Thank you!!

Now that I have successfully completed the Apprenticeship at Dave McMahon’s Dog Training Academy I would like to share some thoughts. The Apprenticeship program has allowed me to work with an abundant number of training challenges and their solutions. The school draws an endless variety of dog breeds, behaviours and training levels. Every day at the school was different and a chance to learn more about our dogs and how we relate to them. The team at the school has over 75 years of training experiences, which I was able to learn from during my program. A special thanks to Sue who kept me on track, and to Tammy for sharing her unique approach with the dogs. And of course thanks to my dog, Addie, who was always by my side learning with me.

I had the privilege of successfully completing the 1 Year Master Trainer Course under the guidance of Dave McMahon. Dave, along with his team, possess an extensive understanding of balanced dog training methods. Their approach is dedicated to enhancing the training relationship between owners and their dogs. I thoroughly enjoyed acquiring a diverse set of training techniques to effectively assist clients both in their homes and out in the real world, such as during walks. Throughout my apprenticeship year, I had the opportunity to observe numerous dogs at the academy. Dave's emphasis on clear communication, consistent technique, and repetitive practices significantly benefits his clients. Dave and his team are not breed biased, offering both group and private classes to cater to individual needs and fortify the training relationship between dogs and their owners. I extend a special appreciation to instructor Sue and instructor Tammy for generously sharing their knowledge, patience, and attention to detail this past year. I highly recommend Dave McMahon’s Dog Training Academy for your dogs training as well as anyone who is interested in learning more about the canine training world!

I recently finished my 1 year intermediate training with Charlie and was so pleased with this course. Dave and his team made it so much fun for both, owner and companion. I am truly amazed at the bond created between us because of the understanding we have of each other and how well Charlie responds to all commands. It took a lot of time, effort and determination but once you get there it makes it all worthwhile. With the knowledge that I gained through Dave's training and asking questions after class, I was even able to train Charlie to get the paper at the end of our long driveway every morning! I recommend Dave's Dog Training Academy to anyone needing puppy training and really encourage dog owners to continue to the intermediate level if they can, it is well worth it.
