I, much like the majority of the fellow reviewers, had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience here. 4 years ago (yes, I am STILL appalled), I had called to request to see a dog and was told he was "vicious" and they were hesitant to who they would adopt him out to;first red flag. When we arrived, I noticed another dog beside the 'vicious' one and after meeting and bonding INSTANTLY knew this gentler dog was the one. I was then told if i wanted him I would have to go to the bank, take out cash and give it to her now as there was 'another couple coming to see him tomorrow' so I did just that and left with him same day. I was PROMISED that all his vetting was complete so was SHOCKED when I took him home to discover his teeth were literally rotting out of his face, he was FULL of worms, and his Neuter stitches were BADLY infected. *at the time her website stated ALL vetting including dental was done, the "only if there is enough funds to cover" disclaimer WAS NOT there as it is now.* When I called to see if I could get some of the money I used towards Kevin back so I could put it towards his EXTREMELY HIGH vet bills, I was threatened by Michelle for harassment and essentially told take it or leave it. I later found out shes had multiple court cases against her and her 'charity'. I also called the vet they use as the dog was now with me, and they confirmed that Michelle had in fact REFUSED dental treatment. All documented. *she actually tried to tell me Dr. confidentiality laws meant i COULD NOT have contacted the vet.... LOL* While this business MAY have started out with good intentions, it has quickly lost sight of the true goal and runs much like a mill. Its a disgusting place and she should not be "rescuing" dogs.

Our correspondence occurred Jan 2018. I've dealt with many rescues and this is by far the worst experience I've ever encountered. We made arrangements to see one of their foster dogs and right after we went to see it we asked for a second visit to make sure our pup interacted well. We expressed our interest in the foster over the phone and via email and even wanted to know what the next steps of the adoption process was. Unfortunately, 13 minutes before we were scheduled to meet she sent us an email stating the dog we were interested in was adopted. Just so you can understand how awful our experience was; -we reached out on Thursday to express interest in two dogs. There was little information on the website about them or photos. -we wanted to meet them sooner but was pushed due to snow and Michelle's schedule. -We met the two dogs on Wednesday night at 745pm we left around 830 -I called her at 845 pm that same night to make a meeting for our pup because we were interested in the one and we said the other one wouldn't be a good fit. she said she couldn't meet Thursday because of work. We spoke for about 30 minutes over the phone. She mentioned a lady was coming to go see another dog on Friday and that we could go after that appointment at 8 pm -747 pm I receive a one liner email stating that the dog we were going to see at 8 pm was adopted and I was speechless. I asked how she could do such a thing and her response was basically like Oh well we're getting more in March. Although, I can appreciate what she is doing for the rescues and finding homes, typically there is protocol in place. Your references and home are not even checked. You can go see the dog pay cash or e-transfer and take the dog home on-site. I am reposting this as my previous review has been removed. Correspondence occurred January 2018 and I still have the email records.

I called on a Sunday at 4:30 ish because the link of the website on google didn’t announce that it was closed... The person who answered didn’t announce themselves as the rescue corporation. I awkwardly explained that I was looking for a rescue corporation and the lady was very rude saying it was off hours and that she didn’t need to announce herself. If you give your number on a website you must assume you’ll have clients calling in all the time. After the major rudeness I said thank you anyways and made it clear I wanted to hang up and then she asked how she could help me... I really hope they don’t treat their animals like they treat humans! I will choose to give my donation to a better rescue shelter!
