Overall great experience there , Katherine our trainer, is very friendly and has a great personality. She is also very open to our questions and willing to help. We’ve done the kindergarten, basic obedience and will soon start intermediate classes. This is the best way to SOCIALIZE your puppy and It’s a very small amount to pay, the investment will last a lifetime. Dog parks are full of untrained and even aggressive dogs. Ask yourself this; would you let your kids play with a bunch of other kids that you don’t know unsupervised ? Or with someone qualified to watch and educate them. Not sure about the negative reviews but looks like it’s more from people that treat their pets like babies, DOGS ARE NOT BABIES. They need to be corrected to learn, some more harshly than others and there as never been an instance where the trainer was mean to the dog or to me, it would be counter productive anyway. There’s a big difference between mean and firm, dogs have different temperaments (like humans) and some are softies and some are very stubborn. Training should be viewed as « training yourself how to train your dog » . The material is offered and basic obedience is basic obedience, doesn’t matter which breed. Dogs are not robots and if you don’t do it properly you will not succeed. That’s my opinion.

My pregnant girlfriend and I attended Canadian Canine to seek guidance on how to properly control and lead our 1-year old Great Dane. We mistakenly had let our dog control our lives for over a year. He had developed habits such as barking, jumping, attention seeking, aggression, etc. It became overly difficult to control a 140lb dog with a baby on the way. Randy taught us to establish dominance over our dog in 8 weeks by practicing obedience training on a daily basis. We are now able to control and enjoy our dog which we could never do before! We will continue to work with our dog as consistency will be the key to continued success. For all the people on here that have given Canadian Canine poor reviews it is most definitely the direct result of the lack of effort and willingness to practice and correct their dogs behavior through obedience training! You must put the effort in and if you follow the training and guidance provided by Canadian Canine I can guarantee you will see positive results. Thank you Randy for all of your help over the past 8 weeks!

My dear dog Beau came from a farmer in the country-side, a great people dog but I simply could not walk him in public, ...he had no attention, very hard pulling and simply frustrating, no fun and a nuisance to all. I have major heart failure Class III, and I am slowly losing the right side of my body, this was terrible. After a two week intern-basic-training, we now walk with dignity and joy together...if this had not worked out I would of had to give my dog to a family that had asked for a German Shepherd Dog. A heart-warming thanks to Randy, Steve, and the whole team, not only do I enjoy my Czech-Line German Shepherd,( a very high energy and loving work dog) I can spend my Golden years with a faithful, loving dog named Beau!

I had a good dog whose environment changed from country to city. (Jan 2017) He needed me to learn to control his lunging, dog manners, dominance, aggression and, heeling. I did not want to use treats or clicking as a method. At 11 years old CCTA advised private lessons after a FREE assessment. I made the commitment to complete the 8 lessons in 90 days including working with my lil' man 2-3 times per day @15-20 minutes per time. The lessons with the head trainer were 30-45min @CCTA once a week. You can teach an old dog new tricks WITHOUT treats. Dexter (RIP Nov 2017) rose to the challenge and we became great together. I have used the training and skills with my new rescue with the same incredible results. As a dog owner I know I can always reach out to CCTA for intelligent, professional, positive reinforment results. I recommend.

We went to Canadian Canine Training Academy with out 1 1/2 year old Bouvier. She was headstrong, skittish, aggressive with other dogs, and fearful of adults. Randy not only trained our Bouvier, but he installed confidence in me as an owner. . .the dog is very intelligent, but the master had to be trained/adjust to my needs. Randy very patiently went through all the exercises, (with both dog and owner) teaching, advising, suggesting and ultimately coaching us to a successful obedience certificate. My family and friends were very impressed with the new demeanor and obedience of friend for life. Thanks Randy!!
