Fox & Hound Canine Retreat is the perfect place for my 2-year-old bernedoodle! He absolutely loves his days there, playing and socializing with other dogs in their spacious, well-maintained facility. The staff are incredibly attentive and professional, ensuring a safe and fun environment for all the furry guests. After a day of play, my pup comes home happy and tired, sleeping soundly through the night. I couldn’t ask for a better daycare for my dog – highly recommend!

I dropped my dog there for one day to experience it. He had been going to daycares and dog parks since he was a puppy and is a very docile and friendly dog who loves other dogs. The handlers of the other daycares also love him and never had any problem with his behavior. That being said, after a few hours at the fox and the hound I came to pick him up and was “advised” to keep taking him to the daycare that he is used to going, which is lodge your paws, because my dog SKIN is too sensitive and he can get hurt by the other dog at the fox. I mean??????? I asked if there was any issues with him, if he got into trouble and the handler said no. My dog is a Great Dane, he is two years old and never had any issues in daycares or dog parks with getting hurt because “his breed has very thin skin”. I was so upset and disappointed because I have seen other Great Danes there and was super excited for my dog to experience a daycare with pool. That was the only reason that I signed him up there. The owner seemed a little concerned of “why I was bringing him to her daycare when he attends another daycare already” because she asked me if he had any problems with previous daycares. They are clearly afraid of my dog of something related to his size because I am not buying this excuse not to have him coming there. I just wish they were honest with me. They are not obligated to accept my dog if they don’t feel comfortable, but at least come up with a better reason or be honest about it. Everyone that I tell about this react in this disbelief of the most unbelievable excuse that they could come up with not to have my dog there. In the mean time he is happily attending lodge your paws as always.

I love the staff. My dog started out shy and has since come out of his shell; absolutely has grown more confident and enjoys every minute there. He naturally has LOTS of energy and comes home tuckered out. I really love the picture updates throughout the day on their facebook page of all the fun they are having. I'd definitely refer anyone here!
