Beautiful venue which, I understand, can be booked for private functions. Nice place to meet for lunch and/or bring out of town visitors. I've never been for dinner, but I have heard other locals recommend it time and time again. Great Food. Nice Atmosphere. Cozy & Friendly. Owners were attentive and easy to talk to. They are happy to talk about the space, the craftsmanship etc. and show you around.

Been here twice as part of a work-related function. Service has always been top-notch and friendly. Resto looks clean and can hold quite a number of people. Food is always fresh and lots of options available. The portions are huge! The location is so-so but inside you'll feel like you're in Havana.

Overpriced. Service was very bad. I went with my family and waited until the waiter would come to us. She showed little care and interest when dealing with our orders because there was another party table which was more important I guess. The food took forever but fair enough when you are getting fresh food. I had the ropa vieja and it was the saltiest thing ever. The waiter told me "that's how Cuban food is" but thats not true I've had Cuban food in Miami and in Cuba and it is not that salty. the only thing worth my money was the cafe bom bom which was amazing but also took at least 15 minutes for them to make.

A hidden gem in Etobicoke, Havana steel is a Cuban restaurant offering snacks, sandwiches and full Cuban style meals. I stopped in for lunch and had a huge Havana style sandwich with fries, a guava empanada and some Yucatan fries. All were freshly made and delicious. The place has funky decor, the kind you would find downtown. Overall a great place for lunch I'd you're in the area.

If you want to expereince the flavours of the malecon of the Old Havana, you must come and try this little but charming place in the heart of Etobicoke. The personnel is the ownership and they too bring the warmth of Cuban life to the restaurant's atmosphere. i highly recommend everyone to try it and be transported to another time's.
