I would highly recommend to consider, finding your next cat/kitten, through Abbey Cat Adoptions. Their site is easy to follow, the application simple. I received a call from a very pleasant adoption councilor. She ensured that I would be a good pet owner. She connected me with a foster mother, to meet 2 kittens. Their care and concern for these animals, and for a good match, was amazing. They had lots of cats/ kittens to choose from. Thank you Abbey Cat Adoptions for the service you provide. Had a wonderful experience with both the staff and foster family. They were very committed to making sure the kittens went to an experienced and serious permanent home. Website allows you to find a cat with a personality that fits your lifestyle. Couldn't be happier with my new babies.

We had a great experience with Abbey Cats. These folks are volunteers and are doing it for the love of cats and kittens. They were accomodating, informative and timely in their communications. They bent over backwards for us. Our kittens are amazing and healthy and we are loving them! Thank you Abbey Cats! I have told so many people about you guys!

The phone interview for the adoption process was cold and rushed. I had applied for a kitten to give my older cat some cuddly companionship. I was told a kitten would get bored with my older cat. Huh? So I'm flat out denied the chance to adopt a kitten at all? That ended the interview and left me feeling quite sad and disappointed.

I found Abbey Cats a pleasant group of people to deal with. The volunteers were wonderful, and were as helpful as they could be given the fact that they had somewhat limited info. Some reviewers have said that getting medical histories on these cats is difficult, and I found this to be true. I understand that these are rescues, and often there is no medical history. I only wish Abbey Cats would take charge by posting this info on their website, in the cat's profile. I feel as though I had to seek it out, and really only came to the realization of how little info there was on my cat when I showed up to adopt her. That said, I don't think Abbey Cats is trying to make a quick profit. I think they genuinely care about finding good homes for these cats, and that they're providing a valuable service. (Worth the fee). The foster parents were wonderful to deal with, and were a testament to how easily our cat transitioned to our family. They obviously treated her very well. I do agree with some of the reviewers that the interview process was a tad too rigorous, but I respect the fact that Abbey Cats is trying to find the best possible homes for these cats. I just wonder if they're turning away/scaring away families that would actually be a good fit. Overall, my experience with Abbey Cats was positive and I would happily adopt from them in the future!
