Mondou

The ladies at the Mondou Chateauguay always offer to help carry my order to my car to speed things up both for me and for them, since I usually buy in bulk and take most of the counter. I'm in thenway of all transactions after me while I get my bags and boxes out. I had a dog food bag, 2 cat food bags, 2 litter boxes, and I had to carry everything by myself while the guy at the register was looking at me.

Good pet store, has the necessary supplies.

Had one of these worst experiences today at Mondou. I brought my German shepherd to the do it yourself cleaning services. I was met with a very nice employee(whom I didn't see again unfortunately as she was the only nice one) and she took me to the cleaning station in the back. All she asked was that the hair was cleaned up and we mopped afterward. I want to make a very clear point here that I looked around at the room and noticed there was already dog hair everywhere. Noticeably there was a huge clump bigger than both my fists in the corner of the room in the colour dark grey(my dogs under coat is white). I noted that this was the standard to which they probably wanted the room cleaned afterward which seemed like just a quick clean up, and the employee didn't make it seem like anything more. When I finished cleaning my dog we did a fast clean up, I didn't clean up the clump that was already in the corner because it wasn't mine and I wasn't responsible for it. The one place I did forget to the clean was under the blue mat in the tub and that I take responsibility for. When I went to the cash an employee came up to me in a condescending and rude tone told me she just checked the room and it was filthy and there was hair everywhere. She then walked away and left us there. So I went back and noticed she had put the hair clump in the middle of the room to be cleaned. I cleaned it up and went get another employee to check the room. She then pointed everywhere and said it was still filthy with hair everywhere. There was a few stranglers here and there but honestly there was already hair in the room when I came in which I find a pretty big double standard. She was also very condescending and kept switching to french, when I asked if she could speak English because I don't speak French she became more rude to me. I cleaned the room again for the third time and asked the first employee to come back. She said it was good, when I voiced that the room was already dirty and I cleaned it to what I seen when I came in she started speaking in French again. I tried to voice that I thought it was unfair that I had to make the room spotless when it wasn't to begin with and she quickly walked away from me and my boyfriend and refused to listen or talk to us. I was treated rudely and held to a double standard. I was a frequent customer at Mondou but will never be going back.
