Duped

I cannot describe the absolute horror that has been my experience with Tacoma Roofing and Waterproofing. I contracted them to do a simple tear off and reroofing on my home and was told that it would be a 2–3-day job...It’s been over 2 months and the job is still not done. The initial install was done so badly that the value of my home has been permanently diminished and it needs to be re-sheeted to make it right again. The MULTIPLE visits by their crews to correct the countless mistakes made, have all been half assed at best, they fix one thing and ignore several others, causing more delays and more scheduling conflicts. The lack of communication is infuriating, I've explained several times that we need to make arraignments for our pets prior to workers showing up, and continually they cannot be bothered. I guess working on the NEXT roof is more important than finishing mine. This was supposed to be done in July and we are halfway through October and weather is coming in fast. Su

We should really have a zero or negative star option on this review platform! Bruce Hunter president of Tacoma roofing and waterproofing is the previous owner to BD roofing, under BD roofing Bruce and his “30 years experience“ manage to significantly compromise my roof and I have dealt with leaks the last 4 to 5 years. Due to his “quality work” I am forced to replace the roof only eight short years after it was originally installed. I am seeking some minor compensation to absorb the cost for the roof that should at least last 25 years. Apparently awls you have to do is close one business and open another business and that allows you to be a shady contractor and not hold yourself responsibility for poor quality. Bruce Hunter Is a dishonest sneaky snake in the grass of a human being.

**Update** After my comments Tacoma Roofing & Waterproofing contacted me and wanted to make things right. They have sent their best roofers to make the repairs and the manager has personally verified the work. I originally gave them a one star review but because they have made things right I have changed it to a three star. Original Post I recently bought a brand new house that had its roof installed by Tacoma Roofing & Waterproofing. To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement, since the purchase of our home (about 2 years) we have had three significant issues with their roof. The first issue happened during a mild storm, I had 2 shingles blow completely off the roof. The second issue we had was with the shingles along the roofs edge had begun to separate from the roof along the gutter. I called Tacoma Roofing & Waterproofing to come out and fix both issues with the shingles. I found the receptionist to be very polite and I will say they did responded in a timely manner. However, when the roofer showed up I requested prior to starting any work that he provide me an assessment of the damage and an estimate of the repair. I never received a phone call so I assumed the repair was covered under warranty. Two weeks later I received a $350.00 bill in the mail for the repairs. I called the office and complained about not receiving an estimate and that they performed the repair without my consent. The manager apologized via the receptionist and waived the bill. With that all said you could only image my frustration when we discovered last night that we have a leak in our roof and water has begun to run down my walls. I have another roofing company scheduled to come out to asses my two year old roof and make repairs as needed. I wouldn’t recommend this roofing company to anyone and wish we could give negative stars, better yet a black hole.

I hired Tacoma Roofing & Waterproofing to clean my cedar shingle roof. They sent a crew who cleaned the entire roof by hand -- without power equipment. They were careful, thorough and cleaned up after themselves perfectly. The owner said I would be amazed at how clean my roof would be but I thought that was exaggeration. It wasn't! They did a spectacular job and I could not be happier. If they clean a roof this well, I can only imagine what a great job they do replacing roofs. When its time - and hopefully not too soon!-- I will call Tacoma Roofing & Waterproofing for my new roof. In the mean time I have a great looking, clean older roof. I highly recommend this company.

They came right out and gave us a great quote for our flat roof that was leaking. We had received two other quotes and were very impressed with Tacoma Roofing's professionalism. I would recommend them for your flat roof. Lupe and Allen were great to work with!

My mother recently had her home re roofed by Tacoma roofing and waterproofing. She is in her 80's, a widow, and living an extremely meek life with little income. She had a leak over her bedroom window, that poured down her side wall. They had a technician look at it and told her that she was in serious need of a new roof. She was devastated! she had no idea how she would afford a new roof. Tacoma Roofing and Waterproofing not only gave her an EXCELLENT price quote, they set her up with the ability to make payments she could afford. The workers came in at 8:30am and were done before noon. They tore off her exsisting roof, hauled it out, re roofed, cleaned the windows, cleaned up the yard, and were gone before she could even notice. The roof is beautiful and she is so grateful! Thank you Tacoma Roofing and Waterproofing for not only an excellent new roof, but also a fantastic experience! Truely the best experience we could of ever hoped for!!
