I have used their FREE electronic recycling pickup service several times and their employees have always been prompt, courteous and professional. If you have electronics or old computers or laptops in need of recycling, the get in touch with The Electronic Recycling Association and schedule a pickup time. Their service removes the hassle of recycling electronics, and they donate refurbished tech to local charities and organizations. If your Karma score needs a boost, using this service might just help you out.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) claims to repurpose donated computers to charities. Actually, the ERA sells technology without income screening on eBay and an different (detached) domain website greencomputers.era.ca. This corporate structure is designed to mislead and deceive people to donate hardware, and for people to later buy at a for profit company with inflated prices. Abusive. Dishonest.

Same situation as another reviewer down below. Applied for a Job, the first interview isn't even an interview. It's just for them to tell you to come back the next day with work boots to do their "paid" day trial. Show up to do the paid day trial but come 5pm conveniently no one knows anything and theres no manager in site. They just intentionally d*ck people around so that they get free labor. I gave up trying to get paid from them because it just isn't worth the headache.

Accepting donations for charity as "Electronics Recycling Association" and then selling them on ebay for profit as "Calgary Computer Wholesale Inc." ? That is messed up. Plus, not wiping donated hard drives...I think I'll just take this stuff to the dump where they properly recycle electronics. "Electronics Resale Association" would be a more accurate name.

The service was prompt and I found it very easy to communicate my computer needs to these guys. Nice organization, seems like these people actually care about the community
