This is the only mosque in Abbotsford. It serves the small Muslim community at Abbotsford. The congregation is helpful, welcoming and peace loving. The committee of the mosque tries it level best to help integrate with the locals. To this end, various events are held throughout the year on a voluntary basis. Muslims have two main holidays every year based on the lunar calendar, called Eid ul Fitar and Eid ul Adha. People meet their family and friends and have a meal together, somewhat akin to Christmas but twice a year.
